Bought a nokia6300. Outlook is excellent. Contact features are really updated. PC connectivity is ok but every time i connect the mobile with pc - when i access the contacts is automatically starts syncronising with pc (this is sometimes) unwanted. Can anybody give a solution. Battery charge is not that good the reason some user already mentioned due to high resolution. Sound quality is not that good as N series. Only pain so far is the battery
tested it goes for 36hours or so. Anyway I like the phone so far so good.

                        To ANDRE:

You are wrong in saying that the 6300 DOESN'T come with a memory card. It comes with a 128MB memory card. When in doubt, go to Nokia's site and read the sales package contents.

                          To SRB1:

Two more things I want to add, I wouldn't expect the 6300's battery life to last as long as other phones because it has a very bright backlit lighting system which is so bright that it works marvels as a flashlight/torch with or without a wallpaper selected.

Secondly, with a 16.7 million high resolution display did you really expect the battery to last as long as phones with a 256k display, come on, be realistic. With regular use of 'most' features, the screen is constantly on and the backlight is running...for the most part so therefore, the battery WILL drain more quickly. When you combine a VERY POWERFUL backlit screen along with the millions of colours and high resolution, there's no way the phone will last for more than a day using the features continuosly.

Another smart opinionist shares the same view saying he didn't expect such a high quality 16 million colour screen to give much battery life, so he's NOT surprised at how fast the battery drains. He said he purchased the phone because it's a beauty in every way.

Regardless of that, myself, Wazomba and others have stated getting good battery life out of it. Wazomba says he gets 5 days sending text and making a few calls everyday...which is what a phone is used primarily for anyway.

The N95 battery doesn't last long either and it has a higher capacity battery than 6300. According to posts that I read, the N95 drains even more quickly than 6300.

These 16 million colour screen phones are the FIRST Nokia phones which doesn't give a very long battery life and the POWERFUL HIGH QUALITY SCREENS are the reason why. Simply as that.

                                Like this phone because:
                                1) 16 MILLION colours!!!
                                2) very nice baclighting
                                3) worth it for its price

                                Don't like it because:
                                1) no landscape mode in photos
                                2) few memory + no memory card is given with package

I am really confused if I should buy n70 or this phone. I think n70 is a better phone. What do you think ppl?

                                  To SRB1:

All the complaints you made about your 6300 is the total opposite for my 6300.

My sound during calls is perfect, not strange; and there's no cracking nor hissing. The sound is VERY PLEASANT, CLEAR and PLEASING to the ear even WITHOUT the VOICE CLARITY feature enabled!!!

In general you CANNOT compare a 3.2MP with a 2MP camera. Nevertheless, my 6300's camera takes better photos in comparison to K750/W800.

All in all the 6300 is an excellent upgrade to the legendary 6230...as confirmed by many 6230 owners who have had there 6230 for several years and never upgrade due to no better replacement all these years...until now. I'm one of those people too (smile).

If you read through the reviews you will see that more than half the opinionists here say ONLY positive things about this phone. Probably the best of all the positive comments is the person called 'DILA' who said: "I think the Nokia 6300 is the best thing since sliced bread".

I'm completely happy with my Nokia 6300.

                                    i own a 6300, last year I possessed an SEk800.

                                    which one is better?

sek800: far better battery if features are used, you can browse on internet, listen music take great pictures with 3.2mp camera and still last for 3 days with SEk800.

soundquality during calls: I find this better with k800, the 6300 cracks, very strange not pleasant sound.

camera: sek800 very good, 6300 is horrible

                                    screen: 6300 is better obviously.

looks: k800 too big, tore my pants with it
                                    6300 good size, looks good

in conclusion I think I have downgraded with burin a 6300.

next time I will buy a phone I will look at battery performance in combination with features usage, camera performance, soundquality during calls.

my advice: DONT BUY, pay more and get a better phone

                                        To RANDOMER:

That was a nice little comeback. Thanks for the humour (smile).

I didn't say that SE phones doesn't have good features, just that other factors puts Nokia ahead. You enjoy your SEs and I will enjoy my Nokias.

But please be careful not to drop your SE, they are more fragile than glass. Just looking out for you buddy, thank me for the warning later.
