To the person who says the K850 is now the current best selling phone...well, even if that is the case I'm sure the 6300 would have sold more overall by the end of the year, hence the reason why I say the 6300 will be the NUMBER 1 phone for 2007 in terms of popularity and sales.

Hello all,
I bought this phone and I am experiencing some problems with its microphone. 1- While ringing the tone is quite low during the first ringings, 2 -Can not hear clarly while holding a converastion, 3- After finishing a text msg,I have to go backwards for the top of the message. Does this sounds ok?

Just purchased the 6300. WOW. Great phone & the dealer put an Ipod in with the deal. I am so impressed with the 6300 mp3 player I am selling the ipod. Can anyone help with an external fm transmitter (like ipod unit) that will fit this phone?

I put my 1110 battery BL-5CA in my 6300 and works great so far.just have to push a little and it's in.it's a little heavyer now and feels gr8 actualy.hope i see some improvements on battery life.if not...then so be it.

Hi there OJ.
Y dont to shave or cut anything from the bottom or the top of the BL 5C. Simply press a little bit harder the top until it gets under the back glossy part of the N 6300 and after just lay down the battery . It fits perfectly. Trust me on that. And btw , Ill try to put , in the same way, a BL 6C in my E 50. Maybe it will work.

To ZUNERAH:
That is the biggest disadvantage with the particular software you have. It's version 5.00 and it has a glitch, the very thing you mentioned. Funny enough though, when you purchase the phone with your very same software preinstalled, the # key works perfectly.
The very moment you reinstall it or upgrade from an earlier version, this glitch happens.
Personally I don't use that key to silence the phone so it wouldn't really matter to be if I lost that function.
I use the old fashioned way of pressing the power key once and then selecting silent from the profile list.
Don't worry. I'm sure Nokia will fix this problem in their next software release as millions of people have complained about it. I'm sure Nokia is listening...they always do (smile).

i bought nokia 6300 3 weeks back in its a gr8 phne! super luking! bt something unfortunate happnd wid me n it wz dat while stteing the security code i got into some mess so i had to go to customer care centre n get da software reinstalled. nd nw aftr the reinstallation of de software my # i.e the silent shortcut key doznt work, what should i do?

I disagree with Original Jamaican, The best selling phone in 2007 is K850(now). But before initially was Nokia 6300 a good phone.
Sony Ericsson has W610i to sort of outthrone 6300 and has done it quite convincingly.
Retailers say that now people are willing to buy Nokia N95 8GB, K850, Nokia Prism, W610 and W960

i found a converter for h.264 codec.it's called "ipod converter" but it's not free.it can make videos .3gp with h.264 codec in a resolution 320x240.very, very good but won't work without registring the program.

I bought the 6300 too, and i have a problem i bought a new 2gb memory card and loaded the song via the usb cable, but the music player dosent seem to play them all only the 15 it has automatically put in recent tracklist. I have updated the library and i can see the songs but i cant play them.. any help please?

I have an Oxford dictionary for my 6300. I will send it to you if you provide me with your e-mail address. Whoever else wants it can send me there e-mail address as well.
Even though it's a mobile java based dictionary, it still has a large vocabulary, meaning that you are most likely to find whatever word you look up.
