Wow! Original Jamaican defected! Still have your 6230? You were instrumental in me getting mine.
On the video side, have you tried VP6 from ON2? They just released a new version VP6-S for HD, that will be in the new Flash Lite 3 release from Adobe. I'm no expert but it's supposed to be a lighter codec than H.264 requiring less bandwidth and processing power.
So the 6300 is a worthy successor to the 6230? I'm looking.

I have tried SUPER already. I find it to be buggy because when I convert videos with it the videos don't play properly on my 6300 YET when I use ALLOK 3GP Converter the videos play as fast as lightening on my 6300.
Another reason why I find SUPER to be very buggy is because on my PC at home there's an error message everytime the program starts up and at work it starts up without the error message but the 'convert' button disappears. I'm only able to convert videos from my PC at home and they play very jerky and audio loses sync. I have Windows Vista at home and Windows XP at work.
I love Allok, it's good and it supports H.246. The only problem is that Allok doesn't allow the user to configure every aspect of the program. It uses profiles with predefined video bitrates and audio bitrates. Example Allok only allows 128kbps video to use 48kbps audio. I found a program called Any-Video-Converter which allows you to configure both the audio and video bitrates but that program doesn't support H.264, the high definition codec.
So as you can see it's a jungle finding exactly what I want and I know it's out there.
I just need a converter which supports H.264 and allows the user to define their own bitrates for the video and audio.

to ORIGINAL JAMAICAN: I havent really done much video converting for this phone phone yet, ive converted to music videos in MP4 format usin nokia pc suite, u could try SUPER converter i think that software converter converts video to nearly every format.

Are you into video as much as you are into music ?
If so, what video encoder do you use ? As you know the 6300 supports H.264. In case you aren't familiar with the H.264 technology, it's a high defintion codec which is used in HDTV and Blueray discs.
I have a few encoders but I just can't find one which allows me to adjust both the video quality and audio quality. I need a video converter which will allow me to encode videos in H.264 format as well as adjust the audio bit rate to 128kb or higher.
If anybody out there knows of any please tell me. Thanks.

all the time ive had my 6300 which is over 2 months now it has never heated up on me , thats when its been on charge or during calls

Sorry to hear that your 6300 cracks, echoes and the calls get disrupted at times but HONESTLY that doesn't happen to mine. If your phone is still under warranty you should consider a replacement, maybe you got a defective unit.
It's nice to see that you appreciate the 6230 and I still like mine...haven't sold it yet.
I remember the first time I spoke to someone on the 6230 it was so clear and lifelike, as you said, the feeling is as if you are in the same room with the person. However, since I started using the 6300 for calls it makes the 6230 calls sound plain and dull.
The 6300's call clarity is good despite your opinion. It has a sharp like sound and I have never heard any echo whatsoever. I don't even need to activate the 'Voice Clarity' feature to hear the calls any better because they are really clear.
To be honest with you, after making a call on the 6300 and going back to the 6230, the 6230 earpiece speaker sounds like a monaural one, calls sounds so deep on the 6230 compared to the 6300. If you were to put both phones in a voice sound category, the 6300 would be stereo and the 6230 would be mono. Just to give the others an idea of what I mean.
All you potential buyers out there YOU WILL NOT REGRET BUYING the 6300. I have NO PROBLEMS with mine.

My 6300 has NEVER heated up. The first time I charged it, I allowed it to charge for 24 hours and it was as cold as ice when I took it off the charger. The other day I was on a call for 3hrs. 32 mins. and it was barely warm...just as any other phone when you are on a call for lengthy periods.
Go for it.

i want to buy the 6300 but have heard that it tends to heat up over long periods of use, due to the metal body.

Whenever i connect the bluetooth with my IMBT43 laptop its gets disconnected the moment after its connected.

look during calls it cracks sometimes and you have dirsuptions sometimes not many but it happens and it shouldnt, the callclarity is not good which is irritating. It is somehow hollow, the 6230 had a brilliant callsound it was like if the person you spoke to was in the same room, the 6300: the sound is echoing and hollow i just dont like it and the cracking is really really bad.

whether or not Netherlands did a survey doesn't make a difference or change the fact that Nokia is NUMBER ONE by ratings and sales.
They currently have 38% of the market and it's expected that they will reach the 40% mark before or by the end of the year. Which simply means that Nokia would have captured almost HALF of the world's market.
