go to messaging->message settings->text messages delivery reports....enable(set to "yes")

then you will see the results.

anyway a little more battery life would be nice :P. love the phone still.

      @original_jamaican

U can enable deliver reports by Message-message settings-text messages-Delivery reports make it yes, if its no.

Have you figured out how to enable delivery report for sms ?

A delivery report folder is there but mine is empty as I don't see any option of enabling delivery reports...strange.

            To BAANI:

Messages you send WON'T be shown in the 'Save Items' folder. The ONLY time you will see messages in the 'Save Items' folder is when you manually save your messages by going to 'Options' then selecting 'Save'.

As to you not seeing a record of the messages you send, if you are SURE you have enabled the 'SAVE SENT MESSAGES' option then you should see your sent messages in the 'Sent' folder. Is your 'Sent' folder blank ?

If it's NOT blank then search throughout the entire folder, you WON'T always see the last sent message at the very top. For me, sometimes instead of seeing the last sent message at #1 I see mine at #5...that's very strange and I haven't figured out the reason why yet.

Whatever the case though I see all my sent messages in the 'Sent Items' folder.

BAANI ensure that you have enabled the 'Save Sent Messages' feature by going to 'Message Options' in the 'Messages' menu.

Took my 6300 off the charger this morning at about 6:45 a.m.

Received quite a few calls, played one music video, took a few photos maybe 10 or more. The first drop in battery power happened at 4:05 when I received yet another call so there's 3/4 of power left in the phone after almost a full day at work playing with the phone every now and again. NOT BAD I say!

                          To GHOST:

You take on the phone is very sensible. When you think about it, if you use multimedia on any phone out there continuously then the battery will be dead in a day.

In contrast the 6230 was toted for having a long battery life yet if I took lots of photos, watched videos, sent text and made phone calls throughout the day, the battery would be low at the end of the day...and this phone has a 65k screen. For the 6300 to last in a day when using the multimedia features a lot means that the battery life in the 6300 is not too bad compared to the 6230 which everybody knows have an excellent battery life...furthermore the 6300 has a 16 million colour screen which drains power.

Should we really complain then after doing the math ?

                            To WAZOMBA:

I have tried SUPER already. I find it to be buggy because when I convert videos with it the videos don't play properly on my 6300 YET when I use ALLOK 3GP Converter the videos play as fast as lightening on my 6300.

Another reason why I find SUPER to be very buggy is because on my PC at home there's an error message everytime the program starts up and at work it starts up without the error message but the 'convert' button disappears. I'm only able to convert videos from my PC at home and they play very jerky and audio loses sync. I have Windows Vista at home and Windows XP at work.

I love Allok, it's good and it supports H.246. The only problem is that Allok doesn't allow the user to configure every aspect of the program. It uses profiles with predefined video bitrates and audio bitrates. Example Allok only allows 128kbps video to use 48kbps audio. I found a program called Any-Video-Converter which allows you to configure both the audio and video bitrates but that program doesn't support H.264, the high definition codec.

So as you can see it's a jungle finding exactly what I want and I know it's out there.

I just need a converter which supports H.264 and allows the user to define their own bitrates for the video and audio.

                              To BAANI:

If you NEVER messed around the security code then you can input the default code which is 12345.

You can change it later on and increase it to 10 digits instead of the default 5 digits.

I'd got my Nokia 6300 2 days ago. the moment I first hold it, felt like as if holding a mp3 player. Its size is pleasant to hold and look at; small but professional.

Pro: It is light, good built, screen is superb, and camera quality is good.

Con: speaker quality is not so good (incoming call alart is not loud enough).
