786 how are you my friend ?

I'm enjoying my 6300. See I finally got it, I wanted it more than anything else for this year and I got it...straight from England.

How's your 6233 ?

Yes it makes a difference if you only charged once for 12 hours. You should charge it overnight for the first, second and up to a third time (even though it is said 2 times is fine).

The first day I got my 6300 I put it to charge over night. The phone finished charging after about 3 hours BUT as you know you should leave it plugged in overnight so it can do a behind-the-scene charge. After the battery indicator showed full, sometime after that, I held the phone in my hand admiring it and the charger slipped out accidentally. I was a bit sad but I plugged it right back in and the battery indicator showed signs of charging being done again. About 10 minutes after the battery showed full again...after that I plugged it out once more and plugged it right back it, I thought, this may do it more good than harm. Once again it showed battery full within 10 mins. and I plugged it out and replugged it in one more time. Afterwhich, I left it charging in the background for the rest of the night.

On the first use I played with the phone a lot. I used it non-stop from the moment I turned it on. I did just about everything you could think of from viewing photos, watching 'MP4' videos to playing games. I used the phone continuously until the battery died. I got 7 1/2 hours worth of continuous use out of the Nokia 6300 battery which many people complain about being weak and running out after 5 hours. That was only the very first charge and I got 7 1/2 hours out of it!

After the battery died I went back to charging it for 24 hours once again. Once I again I played with it until it ran out again and when it did, I charged it one last time for 24 hours.

I have no complaints about the battery. It sickens me to see people complain about this battery.

People who are considering this phone, make sure you get a HUNGARIAN model and get firmware revision version 5.00. I'm sure you will have the same great experience that I have.

Other than all that, this phone is powerful and many people don't realise that.

One feature I'm eager to try is the PICTBRIDGE and BLUETOOTH PRINTING...a wired and wireless way of printing photos and other stuff without the need of a PC.

I DON'T regret buying this phone and I'm sure many others out there doesn't and the potential buyers won't either.

As Nokia says, it's simply beautiful and beautifully simply. I couldn't say it any better myself!

i bought this phone as a replacement to my d900 that i broke. it is quite good for the value . one problem it gets overheated i think cause they put like a aluminium ,metal back cover which conducts heat energy making the phone overheat.

my phone is completely dead right now, it made 1 day exactly, i am not a liar, i am gonna get this to the shop and will have the battery and the cherger checked. I hope there is something wrong with the battery, otherwise i am gonna look on ebay for better replacement battery, ridiculous.

To OJ: I am not particularly an se fan, although i must say they do make solid devices, se is known for his wonderful battery performance, my k800 was the prove, i did internet, downloading, played games, changed themes, made phonecalls, took pictures and still it would made at least 3 days before it died!!

6300: only buy it if you dont use any feature on it, only for calling or receiving calls, otherwise you will regret it like me, if you think battery performance is important, otherwise buy it.

My Nokia 6300 is in perfect working condition. No battery problems, excellent photos from the camera and music player sounds sweet.

My first 3 charges were done overnight for 24 hours each.

To that person who complained about his Hungarian model and who claims that the 6300 WON'T sell...please read this business news article:

To the USER WHO COMPLAINS about his Hungarian model with firmware v5.00.

It's either one thing or the other...either you are a Sony Ericsson fan LYING that you have a 6300 and trying to put down Nokia OR you received a faulty 6300 unit.

My Hungarian 6300 works perfectly, so does WAZOMBA and others who have an Hungarian model.

I STILL have my Nokia 6230 and when my 6300 is charging I use my 6230 for calls. Listening through the 6230 earpiece (not earphones) feels so much different now. The 6230 sounds so deep now whereas the 6300 sounds sharp and have a treble like sound to it...more so when you activate the voice clarity feature. Both the earpiece speaker and loudspeaker on the 6300 outperforms the 6230 by far...and this is someone who loves the 6230 probably more than anybody else on earth. When I first got the 6230 I thought that would have been my very last phone...based on how pleased I was with it. After upgrading to the 6300 I felt like I was in a whole new world again. The 6300 blew away the 6230 in every department except speed...the 6230 is a tab bit faster in some areas and the very same as the 6300 in other areas...that is where speed is concerned.

I normally changed my phone within a few months or a year maximum BUT I kept the 6230 for 2 years!!! That should show how much I love the 6230. So when I give another phone more ratings than the 6230 that phone has to be a DAMN GOOD phone...which is exactly what the 6300. NUFF SAID!!!

P.S. ALL YOU SONY ERICSSON FANS PLEASE STAY IN YOUR FORUM BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY TO DISCOURAGE NOKIA FANS, NOKIA IS STILL NUMBER 1!!!!!!

To everybody with complaints about the battery:
charge your battery overnight (during all night). Use it until it is almost empty. Then charge it one night again. Do this 3 times and you get a standby time with normal use of 5-6 days. And yes my 6300 comes from Hungary.

                              Hi there,

                              Hope u all r fine.

I do not own this phone personally, but from the reviews & opinions that I have gone thru, I am gettin mixed reviews frm people with regards to the battery/ camera. Some people say itz good, some say itz bad. Therez such a major difference in people's opinion, which finaly makes me conclude that the phone made in Hungary is of good quality or eslse if manufactured somewhereelse then the chances of the battery being of a very bad quality is very high.

So people, finaly if u r planning to get this phone, then make sure that the sealed box states that, the phone is made in Hungary. I am planning to gift this phone to a friend so I would surly take that precaution just to make sure that she gets a good quality phone & n problemas arises due to the battery in the future. Also wanted to thank every1 for their reviews, which helps us to decide on things & also just to inform you that your reviews/ opinions is really resepectec.

                              Cheers!!

i put it off the charger yesterday at one o clock afternoon, and now 9:00 hrs in the morning it says the battery is almost empty.

all i did was a little bit downloading from internet scrolling through menu and two phonecalls of maybe 5 minutes. And its made in hungary and has firmware 5.00.

would I do the same things with the se k800 i still would have got 75% of my accu left.

this is definitely a downgrade for me, coming from se k800.

if they wont take it back i will give this piece to one of my nieces, at least someone becomes happy then, i will go on another year with my reliable k800 and not to metion the fabulous features it has, which you can use without being scared of battery runnug out, and soundquality durung calls is much much better then 6300, even that they couldnt handle.

in following of my earlier post:

it is hungarian made, it has 5.00 firmware and still it comes not an inch near my old K800. Even the soundquality during phonecall is less then k800 and even less then 6230.

The camera is very very poor.

If your batteryperformance is this low, why put al these features in the phone?? Nokia will be punished by the consumers fo this, I demand quality, because I pay money for this device.

I am really really dissappointed, if only soundquality during calls was good even that.

                                      To WAZOMBA:

Maybe just a glitch in the upgrade. You can try to upgrade it back to v5.00 or do a factory reset, turn the phone off, take out the SIM, Memory Card and battery and leave it that way for 24 hours. Either way may or may not work but this is the only feasible solution I can think of at the moment.
