2. does it support outlook meetings and contacts sync?

The 6300 is simply the most gorgeous phone nokia has ever made. I've always had nokias and have used many over the years - this one is the best yet. It feels expensive, very sturdy, looks extremely elegant and every bit of it - hardware and software - is functional, easy to use and well designed. If you want a grown-up phone get this one; you will not be disappointed!

          To HAN:

You have two choices, 6300 and 6233. Avoid any other brand for peace of mind. They just aren't as strong or pleasing as Nokias.

Based on what I have read all over the internet, the 6233 seems to be a damn good phone, I have NEVER used a 6233 before, but I would go with the 6300. It's newer, fresh and has revised features.

The 6300 uses S40 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 which means it have a few more additions over the 6233.

The 6300 is lighter in weight, certainly easier to carry around at 91 grams opposed to the 6233's weight of 110 grams.

The 6300 has a better screen with 16.7 million colours...in fact of all the phones you asked about the 6300 is the ONLY phone with so many colours. If you saw the display in person you would BUY the phone immediately. It's CRYSTAL CLEAR!!!!!! and you won't find a better screen anywhere else, whether it be HD TV or LCD flat panel monitors...you will find that exact statement being said on ALL phone sites be it the official reviews or user reviews.

Other than the PERFECT screen it has a MiniUSB port which means you can use your digital camera cable, memory card reader cable etc. and use it with the phone...no need for special cables which costs a lot of money...any regular USB cable will work.

The 6300 phonebook can hold up to 1,000 contacts while the 6233 can only store 500 contacts.

The 6300 supports H.264 which is the High Definition video codec used for Blueray Discs which is supposed to produce higher quality than DVD.

These are just a few reasons why I would choose the 6300 over the 6233. However, I will make it clear that whichever of these Nokia phones you choose, you won't be disappointed. One more thing, the 6300 is the number one selling phone for 2007. Go and get 2007's bestseller!

            To CHRIS:

It SUPPORTS A2DP. When you play music through the Music Player and go to options you see an option to stream the music using bluetooth.

Furthermore I just copied something from GSMArena's review, check it out below and read the VERY LAST LINE of the KEY features.

            Key features

            attractive yet conservative design
16M colors TFT display with QVGA resolution
Series 40 3rd Edition user interface
            2 megapixel camera
            microSD memory card slot
            FM radio
            standard miniUSB connector
            2.5 mm audio jack
            Bluetooth with A2DP profile support

So CHRIS you obviously DIDN'T check out the review.

                    To WAZOMBA:

When it comes on to S60 phones don't blame Nokia for the firmware problems because the Symbian OS wasn't created by Nokia, the company who creates the Symbian software, licenses their software to Nokia and Nokia put their GUI on top of it which gives it that Nokia interface look. Other phone manufacturers have license to use the Symbian OS as well, like Sony Ericsson just to name a few...the P800 and P900 from Sony Ericsson uses Symbian as well. You will find that all these Symbian phones tend to be buggy / glitchy and they are all unstable. Use a phone like Nokia 6300 to judge Nokia because the 6300 uses Nokia's very own Operating System...Don't use Symbian to judge any manufacturer because the OS itself is buggy.

Continue posting your findings my friend.

                              To WAZOMBA:

I can see you are a music man while I'm more of a camera man (smile). I love my music though even though I don't really like using headsets. The last time I used headsets constantly was when walkmans, the ones that used cassettes, was around. For the most part, there was no other choice but to use them. With these new generation of phones, I rather listening to music through the loudspeaker BUT when I get home I will pull the little bag that the headsets are in and see how good they sound. I know the stereo widening feature is effective when the headsets are connected because I read it in the manual.

It's good to that the music features is on the same par as the SE W800. This truly tells me that the 6300 is a good all around phone because the camera takes excellent pictures too.

WAZOMBO out of curiosity what which country was your 6300 manufactured and what version firmware does it have ?
                              6300 ?

Keep sending your tips, whether it be music or otherwise. Take care.

no problemo Original Jamaican, also when listening to music with the supplied audio headset if u select STEREO WIDENING to ON in the media section this enhances the audio output of the phone n gives a sound boost, n i must say after doing that the sound through the standard headset is near enough as good as my se w800 n thats with using 3.5mm headset, i must try bluetooth stereo headphones n c what they r like, this is an UNBELIEVABLE phone.

Thanks for the tip. I fooled around the equalizer but didn't go indepth to realise it greatly increased the volume. Most times I just leave everything at the middle because if you follow equalizers you will constantly play with it telling yourself that you can get better fine tuning so I just leave everything in the middle. I will try what you said to see how much louder it gets.
