Great phone simple, easy to use, incredibly sharp interface and all the neccesary functions. Addressing the question asked earlier there is no night mode in video. In fact one of the few downsides to this phone is that it has no light or flash for the camera.

How is the vibration alert in 6300? Strong enough to feel it when it is in the pocket?

Nokia 6300 is a very powerful phone with flexible options. I have been using it for almost 4 months now without any form of problem.

Having had every possible type of phone you can imagine over the last 15 years, I bought this one to go back to basics.
It is beautifully designed and functional.
It has none of the irritating tone problems that drove me nuts with my last two Samsungs.
The screen is crystal clear as is the sound clarity.
Interface is intuitive and easy to familiarise yourself with.
Feel of the handset is solidly constructed with no cheap plastic, the ergonomically smooth design is pocket friendly.
Sick of phones that want to be iPods or digital cameras, sacrificing compactness and battery life as a result this one ticks all the boxes for me.
For those complaining about the battery - no lithium-ion battery is going to stand up to intensive mutimedia usage. My suggestion to those who want to use their phones as all-in-one solutions (camera, .mp3 player, internet browser, kettle, toaster) is to get an N95. That is the size of a house brick though and I think it's an ugly thing. It does the job however.
The 6300 is a telephone. I use it as such and after owning various overly ambitious mobiles this thing is like a breath of fresh air.
Anyway - I use a laptop, an 8MP camera, and an .mp3 player for all the other stuff. I don't expect them to be able to make phone calls too.
                    A very happy customer.

Im thinking about getting this phone, but no one in here has an opinion on the phones reception. Does anyone even care? After all is'nt that the most important thing.

Has anyone noticed that the option for changing the 'standby font colour' in the settings menu doesnt work? It remains white and i cant get it to accept my choice. Iv tried it with three other 6300s anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a solution?
