The problem which i heard about this nokia 6300 is

1. Very low batter life (But pplz says that it will be better if u charge it for 10hours first time.)

2. Probleme with the USB. i,e Have to remove that back to remove the usb and i also heard that transfer sometimes not possible here.

3. Sometime memmory card get disappeared from the menu make the user to search for it.

4. Photo and video clarity is not so good.

5. No flash and lens cover.

6. Headset problem.

Very confused whether to make use of it as i ggot this mobile as a gift. So planning to replace it for some other mobile.

BTW I really liked this phone, it's a nokia, it's slim, nnnnnice display, stainless steel and the OS is very stable, not a single crash/lockup/freeze.

well, yes it does support a 2gb mem card (I'm using one in my 6300)

yes, battery life DOES suck. Now I'm worried about global warming with this phone and my nextel iden phone, which requires a charge every single day. the 6300 every 2nd day.

headphones are not the best thing in the world, but they are like 1000 times better than those included with my SE k790. BTW FM reception is superb! I can listen a radio station which is like 250-300 kms away.

it's a little bit louder than my k790, but not as much as older nokias... thanks for those american health and safety people.

I just can't fu....ing understand why would I want to switch to line 2 by pressing the pound key (#) for 2 secs, which is ALSO a shortcut to the silent mode. It's so damn annoying. Today I couldn't place any call for one hour... because I didn't know this "feature".

before buying this master piece i got comments like Low Battery, Heating of cell and amny such rumours....
BUT THE FACT IS IN MY HAND SINCE LAST 7 MONTHS.ITS REALLY GREAT.The voice both in speaker phone as well as general speaker is so realistic.you cant compare the clarity with any other phone.MP3s sounds very nice in 6300.Style is great...you cant even feel the 25% of the style seeing the inages...hold it in hand then see how it looks..WHO TOLD BATTERY IS WEAK ??? its great..stands upto 2days in general conditions...in CLARITY this cell can beat any costly competants...DONT LISTEN TO ANYONE..just buy it and see the smile in your own face...i guarantee you will have great plasure of holding it in hand...

6300 is a very good model. 2 weeks before only, I bought it.
How to set the storage place for the receiving files as Memmory card ?
No, it is storing in the phone memory only.
Please, tell me how to do this setting.

for those who clamor batt life, have your phone less program running..it will help a lot for batt to survive...

try turning off the lights effect at the side of the phone by switching off on ur settings...

it will really help a bit..

To you all you people complaining about battery life. Did any of you do the overnight charge and complete discharge before charging overnight again-cycle ? You are supposed to do that 2-3 times to achieve full battery power. A friend of mine who has a 6300 obeyed that rule and has no issues with their battery.

Those who complain about earpiece problems and other awkard problems, it's best not to get the branded phones like O2, Vodaphone, T-Mobile etc. They put all sort of stuff on it that messes up the phones in one way or another. The only provider I never had an issue with is Orange...give me their branded phones anyday.

People for the best result buy a SIM FREE phone and obey the first time charge cycle. I'm tired of all the complaints from you people.

I have bougth a 6300 as prior to that I was using the 6230i, which was an absolutely great phone, the 6300 is a good phone but suffers from the lack of battery speak time compared to the 6230, as it also uses a slimmer battery which hold less power for talk time. I've had the battery changed 2 times already, and also find the reception very bad and always loose signal and people on the other end can't hear me, I spoke to Vodafone and the guy on the phone told me that this was a common problem and even with his own 6300, he experinced the same thing.

mimi: go to settings, change a setting so your 'device can be detected', or maybe switch off the 'hide' status. I did the same for my friend's 6280.

this phone is sexy but the only drawback of 6300 is its battery life.

Shapely, like a supermodel. It always attract attention whenever I used it in the public. Unfortunately, I lost my charger to power surge, and with a charger purchased on the street, the battery standby and talk time has reduced considerably.
