i never see such a bad phone like 6300 it is just having looks or nothing else battery timming is so bad it is having mic and speaker problem and usually most of the phone doest not spport more than 512mb card

i saw a 6300 and it look's soo Nice the design is Awesome
Sound - the Speaker is Loudd and great sound quality !
Camera - the 16M Display makes a Big difference to the Camera Picture soo its Great !
Display - Big Bright and Crisp its Great !
Build Quality - it Feel's Solid and Comfortable when held in Hand.
Btw my Phone is *Made in Germany*
overall this is one of the Best Phone's on the Market its worth Having i Love it !

european made not always good. only from those good countries then its good. no offense to hungary or countries like romania or anything, but quality of those phones are on par with those from china.
phones from taiwan/japan or say germany is where you see a difference. however, its rare to find a phone from those countries these days..~

Get a phone made by China and also get the same phone made by a European country and compare them both.

What difference do you see in the display ? Explain please.
You say there are differences in the sound volumes, is it that the Hungarian version is louder ?
Also, do you find the Hungarian sound quality to be better ?

I bought nokia 6300 yesterday and the first impression is that this is a professional looking and a well designed little flat phone.
I still can not say a lot about the battery but so far I am happy with the interface, features, software etc.
Big screen is perfect for checking emails and messages.
I have been reading about phones for sometime to make the best choice and I think I did the right thing here.

Yup.. The Display quality is different.. and I have noticed some bit different in sound volumes also..
seems you've got a good handset.. 6300 good product, except the battery life problem. coz it sucks the battery life to the display..

no prob with memory card,on third day still full batt,phone is on orange if that matters? thanks for the info,good to have people like you out there cos some people could be stuck with a 18 month contract and poor phone,,from not so sunny today blackpool...

My firmware ver is 4.2. Is thr anyone who has update to 5.0(or >4.71). Is thr any UI tweaks or usability enhansments? tnx

To ALAN SUNNY BLACKPOOL:
Unfortunately, some of the Hungarian 6300 have a faulty resistor which makes the memory card inaccessible at times. The problem is that when you turn on the phone you will see the memory card but after 5 mins. or so it disappears until the phone is restarted, but the whole thing repeats over again.
Your phone doesn't have that problem right ?

You ask if having a Hungarian 6300 is good...my friend I ENVY you. The European phones are the very best in terms of picture quality, reliability and strength. No wonder you love your display...it's as good as it could possibly be.
ALLAN, let me tell you something. A cell phone dealer ordered a 6300 for me but it wasn't the one I specifically told them to get, the one they got was 'Made by Nokia' which means it was made by the Chinese family. The Chinese type phones normally lack in quality, especially picture quality. Until I get a Nokia 6300 manufactured by Hungary or any other European country, I will stick to my old phone.
So ALLAN, YES you have a good phone.
