Wow !!!
Just updated my 6300 Firmware...... Lots of new apps. Cool. I am extremely happy, now my phone is PERFECT.
New version : 5.20
Dated Release : Mar 14, 2007.

what r the main definition and function of the ff;HSCSD,EDGE,T9,and autofocus, RDS in Radio???

GSM6300 dont have any update till. May be in CDMA upgrades available. I am using for the last 3 weeks ths nice nokia...USB cable is costly..but I am using a miniUSB came wih my motorola handset..and working fine. OS is synbian40 modified by nokia..So only jar files can be installed

I baught Nokia6300 3weeks back for 225$ And gifted to my Wife...But I took it back..because of the style and easiness..So I gave my nokia 6600 to my wife. Sound quality and camera are good. (Camera use in night mode). Implus can be installed in jar format. I like Nokia 6300 except vedio quality....

Dear Burak,
I think it maybe there aren't any updates available yet (or in your region). To my knowledge & experience, updates to new phone will "be available" after few months globally. Although, the new ranges of 6300 comes with the latest firmware, Nokia will not release until it make sure that the latest firmware are "firm".
In my case, I did it by trial & error and managed to download the upgrade just as when it was in testing stage. (that was what Nokia CS told me) Of course, I did find some issues with the firmware which I was able to resolve it at Nokia again. (Nokia, upgraded my 6300 as a result).
You can try in about a month. Alternatively, check the NOKIA website to see if there are new firmware available for 6300.

actually i have a nokia 6300.i bought it from thailand.i am using NSU.but the program did not find any software update.and i also tried software update via the phone and no available updates found.my idea is if change product code maybe i can find the suitable upgrade.that s why i am seeking a different product code.i will change the code by nemesis.

Dear Burak,
I am not too sure if the 6300 in your country is the same as mine.
Mine, the number starts with 005XXXX or o5xxxx. The number should be below the little square MESH patterned sticker. Below the S/N number. Beside the SIM Card.
Hope that helps.
P/S :- If you need to upgrade your firmware, you'll still need to run GPRS.

Utter Rubbish! ... To the guy who post on the new items in the upgrade of 6300.
Are you sure you are using the 6300? Or Nokia's phones? I do not think a mere upgrade can have so many new functions added. Don't lie to the users!! I know that Nokia are NEVER so generous.

Ho! Goodness. What have they done to my 6300!!!
I recently when to upgrade my 6300 firmware and there seems to be some drastic changes.
The following are new :-
1) Memory Card Icon. I do not remember having mem card Icon in the main menu, but is is there now. They seems to be working well. Now, can just use the icon to access the mem card.
2) I can use the small font size for contacts. Which I was not able to use before.
3) A caller minute counter has been added to the call log. It "beep" every minute when I talk.
4) A brightness and contrast control are added. I know it was not there in the older firmware.
5) Power & Sleep mode now has Time out function.
It does sound strange but I won't think a single upgrade can add so many new functions to the phone. I think it is good to upgrade the firmware.
Does any one who upgraded have those new items added?
