* ONLY for 6300 users! thx* I've always been a nokia fan.. and want to change my phone for a nicer thinner one..finally nokia came with 6300, but i'm not the one saying the price for it is low, since money dont grow on trees around me! I would like to be sure i made a good choice, but the opinions here really dont help! they r very but VERY different..So...should i stick with nokia and buy the 6300 or go for a D900 from samsung? Many thxs in advance!

hey guts once aagain i really dont care about what people say , if u r sensible dont get a 6300 , get some other nokia model ( its the best user friendly brand )6300 is over hyped , its just a matter of time before people realize that its a piece of crap . it just looks nice and slim and thats about it , i used it for 2 weeks and now am back to using my bulky but amazing 6681, one more thig THE NOKIA 6300 IS NOT A SYMBIAN 40 PHONE ITS A NOKIA SERIES 40 PHONE ,
if you want looks and style and dont care about features - u can buy it , cheers

Im a gsm dealer and what I can say its there are 2 versions of 6300. The difference between them are based on software. The second have a much better battery usage and and can gain about 24-36 hours in stand by. The first version come with the first 3 transports but since a week ago we received only 6300 with the second version...so I higly recomand this phone now

i wouldnt dare put BL-5C battery in this phone..if it heated up then i wouldnt use the phone(fear) tht it wil blow up..nah i wouldnt do that...i think the standard bl-4c is better since it comes with the phone..

hi guys , hate to say this but , i do agree with all the negative reviews the phone has got , i got the 6300 2 weeks back and started using it , nfact also made two of my friends buy it ( and now they r abusing me ) it is actually a piece of crap , no good features and if u r presently using a symbian based phone ( and like symbian ) DO NOT change for a 6300 , the menu is stupid and crazy , a few other things to mention ,are that the battery heats up and makes the phone un-comfortable to use after 7-9 minutes , also the sound is nothing great , it does crackle at high volume , i guess the only reason the noki6300 is a big hit till now is cause nokia has launched a slim phone after years the only other phone as slim or close to this was the 6100 , anyway as someone here said its like a porche with a useless engine , stay away - get something else
                  cheers - ricky
ps: also did put in the bl5c , it lasts a day longer but it also heats up , and to add to it , as someone here said IT MAY BLOW UP and take a piece of your ear with it , is always in your mind , so ure always on the alert , nah - not worth it .

Yeah.... The 6300 really lousy. It is like a Porsche with a Fiat Engine.

                    Porsche= the cover and structure
                    Fiat Engine=Lousy, lousy X 40millions

                      Hi All,

I saw this phone with my friend and thought its an ideal phone for biz people. Looks are v.good. Checked with him for recommendation after his use for a fortnight and was told...STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE.

It is my first time here.

                        Can any one help?

I want to know what are the 2 white "thing" on the sizes of the phone for? I understand that it can be set to blink when receiving calls and charging. What else will it light up.

On mind, it blinks only when I receive SMS. Although, I have set to LIGHT ON in the profiles area.

                        Let me know.

                        Thank you

I lived in Gedo, Somalia, can any one tell me if the 6300 is going to be launch here? I heard it may not.

Sad, I wanted to trade it for my Nokia N2000. Nevermind, I can always buy it over the internet!! .....but can any one tell me where to get broadband here, I am only using 56K dial up and is extremely s-l-o-w.

                          Thanks.

There is much chatter about Nokia not releasing the 850 version...Or, in other words, they do not want to sell their phones in the U.S...Or - releasing the 850 version much later this year.

I hope that talk is wrong b/c this is the phone I've been waiting for.

I really want this phone, however anyone can tell me where to get the 850mhz US version? Is it even available yet? The 900mhz is all over but doesn't work with T-mobile or Cingular at least in my area. ??? Thanks.

                                      Guys,

Just my last point. Firstly, everyone had wrongly fallen into the arguement by comparing 6300's batt. life with other models and even other brands.

Every model/brand of phone batt. has different capability as stated in their specifications.

We are taling about how to charge the batt. properly to obtain its optimun batt. life as stated in the 6300's specification, and should not be arguing about how much shorter the 6300's batt. life comparing with another Nokia phone or the nost silly one, compare it with that Phillip xenium batt. life!

Nokia 6300 is one of the best of non-3G phone and its batt. life is also performs or lasted as stated in its specificcation.

                                      Cheers all!

Not forgetting that there are some writers in the 6300 posting are "enticing" 6300 users to MODIFY their BL-5C batteries to fit into their 6300, I think this is even a more serious matter. Don't you think. Considering if the other user (who are desparate to improve the battery power) really modify the battery & not know what they are doing, the modified batteries can explode & can cause bodily harm.

So do not tell me that I can get barred from posting here. I am not asking users to risk their life.....Think about it.
