With a class leading display and a smal form factor this phone will end up as the best selling Nokia of 2007.
The display has to be seen to be believed. A photo taken on an N73 and transferred to the 6300 when compared with the display on the N 73 ( which has a carl Zeis lens and a 3 Mega Pixel camera) looks twice as better on the 6300. If you take the same photo on the 6300 which has a 2 M. P. Camera, it will look better because of it's far suoerior display,.
The speaker phone and music play back is also superior to N72 and N73,
Dis advantages:
Only 1000 contacts can be stored.
Although it does have a micro SD card, contacts cannot be shifted to or stored on the memory card. This is omething Nokia should immediately address.
The contact format of earlier Nokias with slots for mobile, office, resedential phone numbers and e mail addressall in the opening screen should come back. With the 63000 you have to edit and go to add details for this.
Heating up of phone should be addressed.
It does not play back MP$ vedeo.

how long can you speak with 6300? true !
it has problem with sound at maximum level?

Thanks Lin for your recommendation. But i am really worried by the feedback of "heating up" as i generally talk for longer durations exceeding 10 minutes. And if it gets heated up too early it is going to bring trouble for me. Presently I am using a 6610 which is one of the best phones overall.

THERE IS NO BLACK NOKIA 6300 ,ONLY A COMBO OF BLACK AND SILVER . hope that helps, anyone saying that there is a black one in this forum is either talking about a nokia 6233 or has seen a nokia 6300 in a black silicone cover , once again THERE IS NO BLACK NOKIA 6300

Oh ya, this phone heats up pretty quickly. I didn't know until I was using it just now. This is my 3rd phone so I've only used it to send messages so far. Still, I like the 6300 a lot.

If anybody ask me..I will say 6233 is much better than 6300, mainly bacause of the speakers. Only good thing with 6300 is the screen but 6233 screen is same good too. 6300 has battery problem. Go for 6233...Rush and grab it..the black one is sexy..

With a better camera and a flash, it would have been perfect. Of course they do it on purpose because they want us to keep on buying new phones...

I am not able to decide between 6233 and 6300. Both are priced almost the same. Differences I could make out from the posting by other users are:
1. Display: 6300 is Better
2. Sound: 6233 is Better
3. Longer Calls: 6300 gets heated up
4. Talk time: 6300 has poor battery life
5. 3G: 6233 supports 3G
I am more concerned on the heating up of 6300 and the battery talk time. Otherwise it fits my purpose. Can anyone help me to decide on it.

The Lesser Device memory means bhari appilactions (Above 10 MB) cannot be installed :(

this phone lacks features, v cannot add 3rd party softwares, only thing is slim n stlye.. instead of this v can buy 6230i.. its far better than this
