This is a great phone. The keypad gives superior tactile response, and the screen is to die for. The fonts used are superior to those found on Symbian 60 3rd ed phones like the N-series.
Themes may be downloaded from mobile9.com under Themes/series 40 3rd Ed.
On the downside, functionality is not as smooth as in a Symbian 60 3rd Ed.
Oh, one last thing (sorry for copying you, Steve Jobs!).... this (i think) is the first Nokia phone where, if your contact has a picture, it shows the picture FULL SCREEN (N.B. the previous Nokia phones only show a thumbnail of the photo, or which would require a software like Full Screen Caller).

aj - the alarm is loud enough to wake me up :-) no complaints there.
mr A, i dont think it has stereo speaker, as i can only see 1 loudspeaker outlet next to the camera. but, it's sounds good enough for me. hook the phone up with your fav 3.5mm earphone to enjoy high quality stereo :-)

i just bought this phone last week to replace my aging 6230. i bought it for RM1099 (zitron) and slot in a 1gb micro SD into it. i immediately synch it with my outlook via BT (there no infrared) and it works flawlessly (so far).
i'm still using my 6125 in addition to this phone, what i can share is that - this 6300 is very beautiful. so far, this week, i've been getting praises on its beauty, ppl are impressed on how thin it is.
the display is SUPERB! as u can read from reviews, some say it's nokia's best display currently. i can only agree. pics taken by the camera looks very good from the display, but after if u view it from your pc, the quality is so-so. i'm ok with that. as long as it looks good on the phone!
the series 40 OS has evolves tremendously. it's such a great OS. very easy to use.
in comparison to 6125, i notice that the music player has changed (for the better). and you can even create a playlist! wow!
i'd recommend this phone to anyone. it's just superb.

I just bought this phone in KL. My advise is people should buy phone base on their usage styles. So that you would not regret the money you spend on a tech you seldom utilize.
No use buying 3G capable phone if you seldom use that feature or your telekom provider don't support 3G. Don't buy a bulky phone if you cannot put up it the size that comes with extra technology.
This phone is like a super model. Slim, beautiful. You'd expect she'd be pretty shallow, but 6300 managed to impressed me so far, especially being able to install sofware in it. You'd expect only phone with O/S can do that.
I'll buy 3G when the service is cheap enough & people use it more widely in this part of the world. Even then it's beyond me why I want people to know what I look like when I am answering the phone: Hey, you just talked to me a week ago, I still look like I did last week!
p/s: Pretty eye candy, this phone has lots of those!

A question to 6300 owners: do your side blue LEDs light up constantly (or blink constantly) after a received miss-call/sms UNTILL you check your phone? mine only light up once which is strange as its purpose was to inform the user of any unread sms/miss-call

Con:

No flash
Camera pic's not really good.
Pro:
Fast SMS
Small and light
NICE design
Overall, I would not consider to buy it becoz of the batt and design. Why do want to bring a charger out all the time. Lastly, who wants to get a new phone but old design? Hope you guys know which phones I am refering to.
