lots of current nokias uses BL4C battery. even my bulky 6125 uses that battery. gives me ~2-3days of average use. a tip to save battery - stop playing with the phone :-) the display sucks the life out of the battery. if batt life is very important, get nokia 1112, it can last 5-7days. even up to 9days if u're usage is low.

the 6300 is bundled with Nokia Stereo Headset HS-47 (brushed blackish metal) here in Malaysia.

In reference to the battery issue, it's very simple!
The phone is slim and hence a slim battery. The battery is right up against the metal cover, so no you can't fit a bigger battery into the same space! Don't you think Nokia would have done that if they could.

somebody was asking wat handset is offered with 6300 and the question was not answered...obviously...redundant question: handset offered...erm...??

mp3 is good, interface is good, screen is superb..everything is good...slim sleek chic..if u dun wan a 3G phone coz u noe for a fact dat u wun use ALLL the features, dis phone suffices to satisfy all your basic telecommunication needs.

e usual argument whether the cam is good: at the end of the day, get a dedicated digital camera, it'll be better.

this 6300 is sooooooo good, so much so dat its so difficult to close back the steel battery cover. hehe. superbly tight...good coz its gives the phone a secured feel, loose batt covers and people will start coming in here to complain.

              hi,
the battery of 6300 is a BL-4C 860 mAh. is there any other battery compatible to this phone but with longer talk/stanby time ?

NT, when u buy the phone, the package comes with a genuine nokia phone cover, thats looks really good. i use it... it keeps the phone stratch free :-)

the phone comes with stereo earphones, but I'm not sure what's the model.

the mp3 quality is SUPERB! BUT only if u use a hi-quality earphone. get yourself a 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter adapter. it's a great all-rounder with superb mp3 capability :-)

In one of the previuos posting, someone wrote about the Blue LED's on the side of the Nokia 6300.I had this phone for more than 48 Hours and there is no setting as such.Does anyone know if they stay illuminated to highlight a missed call/message?Nokia India is also not aware about the same. When I start my phone that time only those LEDs glows but not for any new message/missed call.

                        Hi,
This is one of the best mobile phone made by nokia. It's looks nice and slim in mid range price, everyone will fall in love with it from the first site.
Forget the 6230, 6230i, 6233, buy this phone and you will not regret.
I had this phone for now 24 hrs, and it's great.
The only thing is, it has very strong volume buttons, and that you will get use to it.
By the way it's the fastest phone in sending SMS Messages.
                        Thanx

this looks better than 6233 but features wise 6233 is a LOT better, more value for money

                            xeeshan,
this isn't a music device that why it contains normal headsets in the package HS-47 that only give you average quality.

But you can always buy any compatible headset separatly.

In an earlier posting, someone commented on the blue LED's on the side of this phone. Do they stay illuminated to highlight a missed call/message, or do they only flash in sync with the ringing tone?

I just bought this phone and it truly reflects style and simplicity. The only problem I found was that the backcover stratches easily (within day 2 it got scratched) and it is a little slippery to hold. However, I am satisfied with all other functions.

this phone is series40 not symbian - please do some research (go to nokia.com) before making assumptions. i prefer this phone rather than 6233 becoz 6233 is ugly and bulky. the loudspeaker is loud enough.

the phone is equipped with 2.5mm earphone jack (with stereo earphone - but, as usual, stock nokia earphones dont do justice to the sound quality that the phone is capable of). just buy a adapter to 3.5.mm, available in any supermarkets, to hear the mp3 via yr fav 3.5mm earphones. the quality is superb.

For you that own this, how effective is the vibrate ring -- can it be easily felt in your pocket?
