Actually my best friend has the n95 which is one hell of a phone but also the size of a house brick. You cant comfortably keep it in your trouser/jeans pocket and dont try to say you can.
JN - Not just this phone ALMOST every nokia for years have been plain except for the silly black and white range. As I clearly stated nokia phone are packed with amazing and powerful software but just lack a LITTLE styling. Please dont misunderstand me in my comments I dont want a good looking pile of c**p but I dont want a powerful brick either lol.

Darren, this phone isn't meant to be about being flash, it's about being refined with great materials. Carry on using your bells and whistles phone!

I wonder why nokia dont employ a designer as their features and specifications are top notch but EVERY single nokia phone for about 2 years have looked like s**t......not even s**t they need designs to look s**t and nokia are SOOOOOOOO plain. why??
Would it hurt nokia to even try to keep up with sony ericsson and samsung while keeping their high end features??

I've been waiting for a slim nokia candybar design for a while. I don't want a smartphone...so I'm likely to buy the 6300, but a few questions:
1. How did someone "buy" it already if it isn't released?
2. One post already mentioned an updated version of this phone...that hasn't come out yet. What gives?
3. Anyone have a clue as to which US carrier will have the 6300?

if anyone had noticed it, nokia keeps releasing their fones whereby e keypad keeps going downwards or lowered. not only tat, it gets smaller too. i tink it wld bring some difficulties or frustrations wen long term using it.

To those people who keep harping on about it being made of "cheap plastic". WRONG. All the silver shown on the phone is brushed finish stainless steel!!!! NOT PLASTIC.
And the Keys are not uncomfortable to use at all, the keypad is similar size to a 6280 and the keys have a typcial nokia feel (ie, good).
Camera performance is fine for 2MP with above average low light performance thanks to user selectable preset white blance settings.
ps. Keep your eyes peeled for second slim nokia with 3g etc ;-)
