Could this be classed as the upgrade to the 6300? Is the sound quality similar or better, as in crisper?

Sound is NOT GOOD. Volume is too low even if its set to high. If you want to play mp3's on it, better amplfy them before you save them on 6303. Battery time is good enough. Cam result is awesome! Becomes too slow when you use other donwloaded themes. Display is so sharp 'n clear! As on June-2009, price is 13500/- PKR, at Lahore.

first of all thanks to NICK for answering my questions...
it has been 2 weeks now since ive been using this phone and heres the thing...
im a student and buy my cell phones out of my savings and stuff.such a beauty in such a economic package is hard to get
people its camera is awesome.may not look so at first but u have to know how to use auto focus.flash is amazing.gets good pics within 2 metres even in a dark room.video quality is again a high.
speaker volume is a bit low but it is good.headphones r good.plus the real advantage i have is that we can switch songs using the headphone remote.dont have to take it out of pocket agn n agn
the display with 16M is great.probably the best i have seen so far.
one of the most prized features is the standby clock which appears when end key is pressed.
usb cable which came with the set is REALLY REALLY short.but thats not a big deal as u can use the extension
keypad is amazingly soft and easy to use.better than the old 6300 where keys could be easily confused but here they stand out and are v comfortable.
overall i give it a 7 out of 10.

Nokia 6300 have 2 blue LEDs on its sides which tells us about missed calls or messages. Does Nokia 6303 have such kind of mechanism?

I am talking about LED flash light near the camera. In Sony Ericsson phones you can use that LED flash light as a torch. Some Nokia phones also do that like E63.

phone that has such a low usable internal memory to what
is stated as max.all the others had nearly the usable memory as stated as max after the instaled applications.
this includes phones such as samsung steel, 6500 slide,
moto v6, v9. surely if these applications cant be de installed which they cant, this phone should be advertised as having 7 mb of internal memory not 64mb.

it's because of the applications installed that's why you only have a fraction of the actual storage memory

good fone.question mark over the internal memory.
mine has total of 17 mb. 7 mb free.
nokia says 32 mb internal, 64 mb with flash memory.
carphone warehouse says 64 mb internal.
been in touch with both nokia and carphone and cant get
an answer why the discrepency from either.
