Can some one advice me what to do to have access to my security settings on my Nokia 6500c. It seems that the defaulted security code (12345) is not correct. Someone must have access to my phone and change my security setting code.

Does this phone still suffer from reception problems? I've read some mixed reviews, but that was when the phone was new. I really like the design of this phone and am considering buying one. Thanks!

Just launch the camera software, and then go in the camera settings, the last option is the camera snap sound :)

After much survey to get a basic full function phone, i was narrowed down to the 6500 classic for its simplicity and attractive design.
Being of Symbian S40 platform, i can now SYNC with outlook to manage all 1550 contacts and more than 10 years of calender entry.
As a business user, i need a reliable phone, fast, no-nonsense and does not pull my pants down when placed in my pocket.
I can say that everything is perfect except the camera. I dont really use it, as a proper 8MP digital camera will take better pictures for personal and work use. Its good enough for emergency shots where you dont have your camera with you.
There are lots of S40 themes, games and applications that can be downloaded fomr the net.
Another supprising fact is that this phone is able to play movie files sized more than 100MB. I have converted a movie sized 150MB and it plays smoothly without any jerks. All with the standard player.
Battery life is not too bad. I have been using windows based PDA-Phones and now SICK of them.
These PDAs usually last 1-2 days, so getting at least 3-4 days with 6500 classic is great.
People always complain about the 3G secondary video call camera... think about it, how often do we place a 3G video call.
look at it a a piece of precise engineering measuring only 9.5mm, appreciate its beauty, individualism and above all... simplicity.

absolutely useless battery life.Cannot connect to network..."error in connection"In an emergency you cannot rely on this phone.serial no on 7th &8th digit is 02!!Worst of all service provider is prepared to lose me as a customer after 15 years as I 'chose'it.Only good thing is my bill is half of what it used to be.My N73 might stall but is far better.Good looking but dysfunctional.
