Nokiauser01161982, 27 May 2008Quick question. When I press the hash key (# key) on my nok... more# button is a generic button for the Nokia to change the line number unless you program the key as a shortcut, this is not the model just a Nokia thing.

There are times when i can't receive sms, you need to restart to receive all messages, problems is you don't know when it happens so to make sure, especially when you are expecting an sms, you regularly restart your phone. Yes, battery life is too short for a new cellphone and yes i agree, it is beautiful.

I bought this phone a few weeks ago and apsolutely love it. I work for vodafone AU and sell so many of them.

It has a great design and a beautful weight, you always know that its there in your pocket. The buttons are awesome once you get used to them and the sound quality is really good.

Nokia have made a great phone here, and im really pleased.

We sent one of these back to Optus thinking it had a problem freezing up. We have the same problem with the replacement Turned out it was really battery which had gone dead. Seems that the battery life is no where near advertised. AND we are using only GSM. No other features.

Quick question. When I press the hash key (# key) on my nokia 6500 classic it does not change the profile to silent. Instead it changes the line from Line 1 to line 2 or vice versa. This is annoying as I have to go into the menu to change the profile all the time. Does anyone else have this problem? Can I change the setting for the hash key somehow??

Phumza, 23 May 2008Beautiful sleek design, i wish we had the bronze colour as ... moreWhen the phone repeatedly switches on and off, it is a sign that it has a software (read firmware) issue. Take it to your nearest Serive Provider care/service center for a firmware upgrade. Alternatively, log onto the Nokia website, download the Nokia Software update, and connect your phone via usb cable and update. Must have broadband for this though.

Great phone, the only problem I've had is with the speaker distorting when playing music full volume. Has anyone else had the same problem or is it just my phone...?

I bought this phone not long ago and I confused with the comments in here.. i agree there are some battery problems since sometimes it can up to 4 days but sometimes it only stays for 1-2 day.. but there is no other problems like freezing, turning off, or lagging. I do not know why, or maybe it has been modified for the newer version?
for heating up i think it is a normal things that haven't been solved by nokia since most of their phone has the same problems after all.

Beautiful sleek design, i wish we had the bronze colour as well in SA. I am not happy with the fact it occassionally just switches itself off and you have to take the battery out though...what's that about?

its beautiful, but the buttons are too small which makes it hell to use, I will not buy it for that reason and that reason only.

                                      its so slim. absolutely.
and it has a smooth rounded shape.

thats the main reason why it keep slipping out of my hands.

                                      slim phones. NO!
