Hmm.... i've been using thick phone for quite a while so when i switched my w850 for this... it felt different... very slim and light... a very big difference... and the best part bout this phone is its speaker... for a slime phone it have a very good speaker!!! the clarity is superb:::: very happy with this phone... as for the battery life it isnt very impressive:( only lasted approx 6-9 hour with non-stop messaging and music while it last 10-18 hour when on standby... 1 thumbs and a half up:) my give it a 85/100...

Having been using a samsung touch screen slide phone for the last year I was initially disappointed when this was the phone offered under my insurance policy (samsung out of stock). However I really love this phone, it looks stylish, very lightweight and easy to use. Buttons are rather small but as I have long slim fingers, not a problem. Cant seem to turn the volume up for incoming calls but need to check the manual!
Dont have any problems with the battery life, seems about average to me and I use the built in games daily. Good looking phone even in the black and nice to be using a nokia again

This fone is absolutely sh*t. Had it for less than 2 wks, sold it on. Problems, problems, problems.
Primary functions are not there?! What were Nokia thinking?
Gone back to trusty old SE - unbeatable.

i've always been a nokia customer and previously had a 6300 now i've switched to a 6500 classic, i like it but one bad bad thing sticks in my mind about it. on most other phones once your battery goes you plug the charger in and after a few minutes you can switch it on, well on this 6500 you have to leave it about 45 minutes for the phone to charge up and then switch on. i hate my phone for that reason.

Paul, 29 May 2008# button is a generic button for the Nokia to change the li... moreHi Paul thanks for the reply. However I got my handset replaced and the # key is working correctly now. When I press and hold it, the profile changes to silent now instead of the line change. Not sure if there are different batches of the handset?

I love the phone but he battery life is really an issue. Have to charge it frequently and cannot monitor when it will die. Very problematic as I use it daily for business calls. Previous Nokia much better with battery life. Seems like the battery downgraded

The Battery life of the Nokia 6500 Classic is nowhere what is given as specification
The Standby tiem i found was no more then 45 hours and talk time not more then 3 hours.
After talking continiously for 30 minutes the handset becomes hot.
