The classic by the way is more reliable. No moving parts to be subjected to wear n tear

I work in a cell phone store. Comments such as phone freezes, drops calls and switches itself off I hear from 8am to 17h30 all day from Nokia owners. The phone that comes in most for repairs? Nokia. Nokia were GREAT 4 yrs back but sadly have lost their edge. Great design looks but in an emergency do you want to look pretty or do you want reliability? Also symbian, although very adaptable is not so stable. Try a windows based device such as HTC and you will see the difference. Easy to operate, reliable.

Just got this phone after taking back the 6500 slide. I can say this wee phone is excellent.
I did panic when charging the other night as it didn't look like it was charging for about 3 minutes (i.e no charging symbol on the screen etc) anyone else experience this?

to the lady below who can't spell with: the classic has been well praised by all my clients, unfortun8ly the same can't be said about the slide phone. in my view the slim puts the slide to the sword!

Nokia seems to have some kind of a hold on design, whereby they seemlessly attract attention and capture the imagination. This phone doesn't say much in functionality, but who cares. Its ellegant and effortless like the girl next door. You don;t buy this phone to show off what it can do, you buy it because you are confident about what you want and need. Given that 75% of users use 98% of their phones for conversation it become redundant talking about cameras, apps and games. This phone is noe also available in Black which really strikes a few more design chords. I give this phone 8.5 out of 10 due to design mainly. If you want maximum functions buy a laptop.

I am very disappointed at the 650 classic - the battery life is ridiculous and it heats up so much when you talk that it is uncomfortable to hold and put to your ear.Very disappointing for such an expensive product.

HI guys
almost a month since i bought my Nokia 6500c. I was very disappointed because it kept freezing for about 4-5 times, and i couldn't unlock it or switch it off, so i had to take off the battery. but couldn't get it back because i bought it from another country. so someone told me that if i upgrade it to the new software maybe could repaired. i tried it and works fine for about 3 days now! Hopefully will not have any other problems in the future. Despite my disappointment the phone is really nice, works fine, stylish, good mp3 player.
Hope the info was helpful for some of you having the same problems.
Cheers
Helen

This phone has everything I need & is very user-friendly. The keypad is much better than the N Series. Slim & elegant. Very impressed with the speaker & screen. Highly recommended.

Phudu, well, duh, I have updated my 6500c to the newest firmware. No problems whatsoever, just like in previous versions. Why do you ask?
