This phone was released on Monday (1 October) in the UK - I am assuming it will have been released throughout Europe by now as well.
You cannot buy it direct from the operators yet - it is only the distributors (online websites, mobile retailers) which currently stock the phone.
Operator supply (i.e. direct from Vodafone, T-Mobile, etc) will begin earliest of this Friday, but probably not properly until the 10 October.

hi i was wondering whether this mobile has a feature included called SAP? SAP stands for Sim Access Profile which means that the information on the sim card can be shared via bluetooth to car hands free kits. On the Nokia N95 it is called remote sim mode. could anyone who has this mobile check if it has this feature or not and get back to me asap. cheers

i think this phone is useless (sorry about that) because nokia launce 6120 classic Symbian-60, cheap 3G and HSDPA phone, with all facilities almost same with 6500 classic, think about s40 sure it cannot infect by phone virus, but compare 6500 classic and 6120 classic its way to far i mean toooooooooo faaaaaaaaar with same facilities,

i think its a great phone! loved that gold (?) colour and nice featurs, im not asking for more, i have my nokia 6101 since octuber last year and i cant get rid of it, i love all the nokia phones!which one is best this or the nokia n73!

SE T650 or Motorola V8 already using hardened glass, this Nokia is still using plastic!
SE T650 have memory card but not this 6500!
Motorola V8 come with 2GB internal memory but this Nokia 6500 only come with 1GB!
Pretty rubbish features ...

r8, please give us more info, we're hungry here. How much did it cost and where did you buy it? Any bugs or strange things you noticed right away? Does the phone heat up after using/calling? Is the video/audio quality good? I bet you can easily watch the Simpsons or something on such a good screen, it's 2", like an iPod nano - quite nice.

I bet this Nokia model will heat up badly just like any recent Nokia phones!!! Btw, heat up problem is more worse with their metal phones than plastic ones!!! Anyone notice?
