Billy, 10 Aug 2008I am having so many problems with this phone, I have only h... morewell, my question is have u handled it properly. my dad works at vodaphone in australia and he has this phone and he LOVES it, obviously u cant hamdle it properly, which store did u get it from? i can help u wif the problem.

I am having so many problems with this phone, I have only had it about 3 months and it still looks perfectly fine but within it is just not functioning properly at all, it does not read my sim card, it freezes i cannot see my messages and contacts, i listen to music and it forever skips over. Goddd so many problems! Do not buy, my brother has a problem with his where it will not even turn on! How bad is that, please avoid this phone it is useless!

the phone looks nice and has good specifications except for that it has symbian series 40.. if it had been symbian s60v3 it would have been an amazing phone to go for...

jeremy, 06 Aug 2008i have a problem with my nokia 6500 slide. i cannot go to m... morethe ringtone you are currently using is either corrupted or the file is probably missing i know the file works fine but still try to delete that ringtone file you are using now and it will reset back to Nokia tune once deleted then try to go in it again hope it works!!!!

I just brought this phone last week, after i make a video record, when i playback, my phone straight hang and keep restart. Any one here know what is the problem? I had try out many time but still the same, even when i use video player to play the file from memory card, phone hang and keep restart...swt...T_T.......

This phone is great!!! Best phone I´ve bought! Really keeps Nokia on the top of mind! I changed my slow (I don´t like Symbian - freezes and is a turtle....), big and heavy N73 for this nice, stylish and fast cell phone with the same good camera and with 3G. Although I prefer to surf on the web on a computer, you have the option for a fast internet if it is really necessary. BEST BUY EVER!

I got this phone for free when I re-signed onto a plan and god am I glad it was free. I would've been extremely pissed off had I paid for it.
The 6500 looks nice and has a good camera.
The 6500 is also heavy, doesnt have a smooth slide function, has tinny speakers, froze often and for lengthy periods of time (I had to take the battery out to restart it), was often unresponsive when I tried to turn it on, and after a single fall (not even a big one, maybe 50cm and onto carpet) the back cover would not sit flush again.
I went back to my 6233. I tried to give away the 6500 but nobody would take it. Enough said.

i have a problem with this phone. the phone can't read memory card. i've already bring to Nokia Care, and they said that it was main problem for 6500s. IC for read memory card s/b changed. Is anyone have a same problem w/ me ?

Hi, I am planning to buy this phone, the only thing I wanted to know from someone using it already was that in Message>Setting, do we have an option where in we can switch the text message storage to Memory Card instead Phone Memory. Also, does it have an upper limit on the number of text messages in the Inbox. I am sure the Nokia Symbian phone dont have this hangup, but, since this phone is not Symbian, I was wondering..

i have a problem with my nokia 6500 slide. i cannot go to menu > setting > tone. once selected the "tone" the phone will stuck there like forever. The same thing happens when I get to personalized the profiles. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? because i just bought it. thanks

A handy and high featured phone in its own class. I've got it for three month , with a 2GB memory, and i have loaded it to the limit , good performance and no hanging thereabouts. It lacks Symbian OS and runs short of some formats for playing music and video clips but i am quite satisfied with its performance and easy handling.

This phone has been getting a bad reputation, reliability-wise. between physical problems, an accidental release of the 6.6 software, freezes, hangups, you are (at the moment) better off getting a different phone. t looks lovely, has nice features, but has a lot of reliability issues.
