Too bulky and heavy... Well, I guess you're the sort who wouldn't mind having a mobile the size of a credit card. Personally, I'm the kind of guy who thinks Samsung mobiles are so thin that the thinness is starting to affect ergonomics. Oh, and I guess I don't have to mention that those Samsung Ultra Editions have been reported to have issues like screen cracking and wobbliness. But that hasn't anything to do with thinness... ;)
On a more serious note, I think this mobile is about the optimal size. It feels durable and good in your hand and yet it's thin enough to be put inside a pocket and not feel a big bump. You have also remember that had Nokia made this mobile 3-5mm thinner, it wouldn't have the space for that ergonomic keypad.

It's nice to see Nokia back on top. This mobile will in mind be better than LG Shine, SE S500i, Samsung U600/U700 and Motorola Z6/Z8. In other words, I think this will be the best slider out there. I love the specs (3G, 3.2MP cam), I love the design (not too thin, metallic, timeless) and I love the fact that Nokia made it (excellent UI).
There are two fears though. 1) Nokia and slides. To me, Nokia hasn't been the best slider maker out there. I think its only good slider is E65. Let's hope 6500 slide will be a good and ergonomic slider. 2) Price. If 6500 slide's price will be above 500 euros, then I think Nokia will have managed to do the impossible: screw up a perfect mobile.

I'll answer my own question - it's series 40, 3rd edition. Could live with it I guess.

Micro usb is exactly what it says - imagine mini usb - but smaller. I think the new Motorola razr v8 & v9 are the first phones to sport the connection. I could be wrong.

Agreed. The design is definitely influenced by the N80 (which I love). Anybody know if this is a series 60 phone? Not a fan of the N95's styling & will be upgrading soon. Ideally, would like a thinner N80 with better battery life.
