I've activated vodafone live GPRS connection, but im nt able to open my GMail inbox, despite opening the home page. & wen i askd wid vodafone care, dey say my set doesnt suport. Is der ny way to get GMail open in my mobile. Plz advise.

i'm thinking to buy a new mobile may be within 2 weeks.
but i'm not sure what to buy so i want all of u to help me choosing my new fone.
i'm now thinking between 6500s, and 5610
so please advice me on
1. camera
2. music with loudspeaker
3. music with headphones
4. durability
5. screen quality
6. battery life

Nokia 6500 Slide, a great Phone plenty of features although not all used. Keep up the good work. Try and make a model having a woofer feature.

I'm considering this phone but Ive got a couple of questions for owners of 6500.
When there's an incoming call [if you have a picture of your caller], would it display the pic along with the name? If yes, how big is it? Plus, are there any major problems with dust before the screen?
Ive currently got a 3230 and it kills me to live with the dust on the screen forever, cause I simply cant clean it myself.
Its behind the plastic cover and just in front of the display.

i have one question on this one. might be silly but i just want to make sure. is there software to load the navigator on this phone???? i heard a rumour that you could and if its possible can someone give me more info on this.

worst phone ever! mine went back and the new one was stuffed too... menu freezes, always re-sets menus and the speaker goes crackly and statically... very dissapointed!

this 6500 slide seems to be a lot of problem.first it is the music player, it pause when you use the camera, second whenever playback video recording its picture quality is not good and it sometimes not playable and need to access for several times before it can be played smoothly and finnally the phone may have alignment problem between the slide

I agree.I upgraded and the phone performs worst than b4.When playing videos most time the phone resets and u have to start over.Sound effects that come with some themes with version 4.84 are not in version 6.60.Wish i had stuck with older version.Hope Nokia comes up with new firmware soon.

Hey fellow let me clearly tell you da difference between s40 vs s60 nokia cellföne i have 6 yrs experience in both i used frm s40 6230i 6233 6270 6280 nw 6500 super hit models of nokia sliding needs care smoothly slides your fone up n down and 6230i and 6233 is candy bar fone very durable and tough i still have both and nw 6270 and 6280 gave to my gf as a gift nw i have 6500 3.15 carl zeiss dual led flash beautiful like a sexy girl and nw s60 turn n70 n72 n73 n80 6600 6630 7610 6680 hangs and restarts again n again even inserting 2gb card forget about taking pictures then e50 e65 e51 all craps now sony ericssons all models n motorolla samsung all java based fones its up to you fellows which series you select

I have had this phone for a few days, I'm on an Orange contract and have another couple of days to decide whether or not to keep it or get a new phone.
After having sony ericcsons for the past 2 and a half years it's taken me a bit of time to get used to this Nokia. On the whole it's OK, the only thing that really irritates me is the dodgy upper keypad. Simple things like sending texts, navigating through menus or going through my phone book take ages because the keypad doesn't work, (and no I'm not trying to use my phone when it's locked!)I keep having to wait and try again. Anyone else get this problem? I'm on an 18 month contract I don't want my phone to keep this up for that long!
