can somebody answer me this question please ?is this 6500 slide has a 3 second delay when pickup the call ?

have finally figured out how to fix this, and noticed that several people had the same issue i did.
the problem with ringtones etc resetting to default, is caused by them being housed on the memory card. The memory card then disconnects from the phone as the metal back is very flimsy.
My solution is easy and requires very little skill, just a little care
Under the back of the casing (next to the hole for the camera lens) there is a small metal peice that is required to complete a connection in a small hole next to the memory card slot, all i did was slightly bend this piece so it sticks out a small bit more than usual, you may also want to very very slightly bend the casing a little so it doesnt feel as loose.
It can be slight trial and error, and dont be rough with it as it may snap off ruining the phone

Wow!!
Some of you guys are pretty dense. For the last freakin' time....the secondary camera is for video calling only!!
Does anybody bother to read handset reviews anymore?
Also, for anyone still having problems, make sure you update the firmware to the latest version. That is why Nokia makes firmware updates, to remedy problems that arise after a phone has come out.

Yes there is still minor scratching. You can see the scratches if you have the phone tilted towards a light source at a specific angle. Otherwise you can't see it.
I've only had the phone for a few months, so not sure how much worse it can get.

Does the keypad still gets scratched due to the sliding mechanism? This is the only thing that's stoping me from getting this phone.

PRoblem with the phone, keeps on restarting in the middle of a coversation or when its ringing. on an average twice a day. any remedy?
tried about everything but just cant get the secondary camera to work. does it only work with video conference? can anyone tell me that

Hi guys...
I bought this phone and it's good and all but one thing that really bothers me is privacy... How do u lock or set passwords on certain folders or at least the memory card? My old Motorola could lock almost everything like contact lists folders etc. Plz tell me if u can? I know there is the option to set password for memory card but it doesn't work? Plz advise me thanx...
(P.S. I need passwords to stop mischievous cousins...)

can u tell me how the secondary camera works. I bought it yesterday and try to open the secondary camera to see my image. but i cant find it. can u tell me if it works like in n73

im kind of worrid-i purchased this phone a month back bt it keeps on crashing on me!!! is this meant to happend?? and it keeps on saying memory full, when i have not gt that many things saved on it!!!

I think my phone's back cover is not aligned properly when closed.Plz tell me that is every phone have same back cover space on left side?right side and left side dont have same alignment. plz check your 6500 and tell me , I am worried may be my phone have some casing fault:(

I hv been using this phone for the last 2 weeks and some points to be noted are :
Pros :
1- Great looking, people get impressed when they see it.U can call it an object of desire.
2- Music quality is amazing, quite loud.
3- Pic quality is wonderful, very clear,
4- Easy to operate, user friendly.
5- Call quality is good, quite loud, smtimes i hv to use the volume button to lower the sound of the person i am talking too.
Cons:
1) Battery life is bad. I mean i am also using an SE-K750i for the last 18 months and the battery life on that masterpiece is still amazing...with normal usage it lasts around 3 days even now. But with the 6500 slide i have to charge every alternate day without fail or it just dies on me.
2) No lens cover, i am not sure whether it may affect the pic quality after a period of time but it does make me uncomfortable.
My conclusion is that its a good phone to buy if you just use it for normal calls and pics. But if u are someone who uses the phone as a music player, watch a lot of videos etc, then its better to go for one with a better battery life.

@Sabzii......are you some 10-year old kid or something that you don't want family to hear you receiving a call? Go to the silent profile, edit it and put vibration on, then activate the profile.

i already tried all the options in the camera, still i cannot find that option to turn off the camera.. that menu does not exist in my unit.. how could that happen?? what is the firmware version of those units that have the option to turn the camera sound off??
