Planning to buy this beauty. But has the problem of ringtone resetting been solved?

I've had this phone for just over a week and I simply love it. Can't find a problem with it at all.
All those people complaining about scratches.. you're being too rough with your phone because there is no way it'll scratch the keypad or anything.
I love this phone. Great phone Nokia!!!
Camera is good, sound quality good, nice shape, size, good and easy to use slide mechanism, and an easy phone to get around.
I would recommend this phone to everyone!!

it is a good fone to be owned.
nokia 6500 slide has great design and handy in everywhere.
can this fone support microsd card with 4gb capacity?

Even though this phone does look the dogs,i have had nothing but problems with it, the phone keeps loosing speaker sound, even though the phone has been back five times now for repair i don't think the people who are supposed to be able to fix them have a clue. Very dissapointed in such a massive company.Will think twice in future about buying a Nokia.

6500 is a gr fone..its got all the major feature + TV out and the metallic body l0oks gr8..i am in love with this fone

the scratches on the fone is nothing.. you can see it when you look at it in a certain angle but when you look at the fone normally.. you wont notice it..

Camera sound.
select media apps, then camera, then options then scroll doen to settings, then scroll down to camera sounds, then select off, hope thats of use.

thanks Peter Nygaard, but i checked my 6500slide and there is no "configuration" there. i guess since no one was able to help after posting three comments i would believe that it is a really crappy phone.
well, btw, i don't get the nasty scratches on the keypads nor the automatic changing of tones.

I love this phone! one of Nokia's best. Just wanna ask if the front camera can also take pics or is it exclusive for video call use only. Thanks.

camera sound: go in to the camera: press options: press konfigurations: then go down to the option - Camerasound and then turn it of.
I have the phone, and I love it. best phone I ever had.

I have had this phone for 10 weeks, in the beginning it was fine, then when i really started to use it, i mean constant texts and phone calls, it would randomly freeze, shut down and restart. I upgraded the software, now it is not so bad but yes it does kick out your selected ringtone to play that crappy nokia ringtone.

Hi all, having just got the 6500 slide on the orange network, i was quite alarmed to read the poor reviews about this phone.
Could anyone tell me if they've had any feedback from nokia, and what they are doing to resolve the problems? cheers

The keypad does get scratched, but only very slightly and it's not noticeable unless looking at it from a certain angle. My 7 and 8 buttons are slightly scratched but that's it. It's certainly nothing like some people have described - maybe the slide mechanism varies from handset to handset? Mine is very smooth and solid. I absolutely love this phone. I've had it three weeks now and it's amazing. The camera takes great pics, though obviously it can't rival my 12mp Kodak camera! But it's perfect for taking a quick snap when you're out and about.I intend to keep this phone for a long time to come.

Do they have Nokia N73ME (Music Edition) on this website? Please help I tried searching but couldn't find. Wanted to see the other differences with N73 except for better music.

what the differences between 6500 slide and 6300 beside the design, 3.2mp and 3g? nothing else. i paid double the 6300 price and what i get? already get rid of it but kept the 6300. wasting my money only.

Just bought this phone like two days ago..it was a nice and sleek phone..so far no major problems..anw i did have the prob of my tone being switch back to Nokia Tune..but i think this is becos we changed our themes and the tone wud auto switch back..cos last time heard from my fren who told me not to change the theme if not the tune wud change to default again..but i nt very sure, maybe u all can try changing ur theme and see if the tone wud change back to default anot..hope this wud help =))
