I am confused is the UI S40 3rd or S40 5th? On the Nokia site it says it is S40 3rd but everybody else is saying that it is S40 5th, so which one is it S40 3rd or 5th? please answer me, thanks in advance

Hi alvin.I already tried every time zone under DAte and TIme,its still not working.I think I'll go to nokia center this saturday once and for all..

what like is the battery life for other users of this phone my girlfriend charged hers all last night then had to charge it again tonight because the battery was running down and she never really used it cheers

@sir sandman, that's also my problem lol.. i don't want to remove the default plastic cover in my screen yet. i also bought mine from galleria for the same price. no lags no freeze.. pure pleasure

yup, my brother just got me one from alabang. solid feel. no creeks. costs P19,200 but i added a 2 gig memory microsd so i had to add P1,500. been a long time since Nokia build phones as solid as these. steel... not plastic! finally!...

hi belle, there is a time zone selection in the Date & Time. Try that, it may solve your message time stamp

I am coming from N73 - N95 respectivly i turned to 6500slide at the moment i touched it !
a very luxury fone solid steel brilliant case a very good Camera better than old N73 as it gives true colors flash stronger than my previous N95! the battery WWWoooWWW lasts 2 full days under heavy heavy use sound awesome and great during calls is very very loud Slide Mechanism is similar to the samsung's D900 D600 etc.. which is very solid and good
No simple creak or sounds a Rock fone
the only drawback is u take time to get used to it

sir sandman, just bought mine yesterday and i'm very satisfied! yes truly it is a great phone and worth of its price. the sliding is perfect and i don't experience any wobbling or creaky at all.. thanks sandman for your tips!

S40 phone like this one cannot save messages on the memory card. But you can use PC Suite to save your message on the PC.

every one keeps saying its a solid fone with no creaky sounds and perfect sliding mechanism.i own a n95 and one he most important reasons that i want to change it with 6500s is the weak sliding mechanism of n95.but now some of u people say its sliding mechanism is wobbling and a little bit creaky.and its being said by the actual owners.so can u tel me what happened to that perfect sliding mechanism????

noypi: the s40 is great! i used to own a n73 and it's so slow. the lag was terrible. i haven't experienced any lag at all yet with the 6500 slide. even when viewing pics or opening text messages, there's no lag. my phone hasn't even crashed yet or hanged. no problems regarding the software at all. the build quality may take a bit of getting used to since there's a slight wobble and creaking. but you get used to it. porma phone siya. galleria has already i think glorietta might as well.
liz: i'm not familiar with that application. but as far as i know, you can't save to the sd card. all my text messages are saved in the phone's memory. but they don't take up much space.
if you guys know where i can get my hands on a screen protector specifically for the 6500 slide do let me know. :)
