Nokia 6500 slide

Well I think there are two sorts of haters here. 1) Those who think every mobile (especially every Nokia) should be smart phone mammoth like N95. 2) Those who dis everything that isn't colourful and 1cm slim or under.
That first group particularly annoys me. Yes, 3G is a popular feature, but not every phone needs to be a smart phone. I don't need 3G and there are countries who don't even support it. And yet these people dis every phone that isn't 3G. And if it has 3G that it sucks if it hasn't got S60. What's going on? Do people think that everyone are businessmen or the types who onlie go online via mobile. Man...
The second group I understand. There's nothing wrong in wanting a slim cool mobile. I want one. But it's amazing how people seem to forgive issues like wobbliness, screen cracking, flat keypads and battery life just so they can have a slim mobile. To me S6500 slide represents a slider the closest to perfection. It has a metallic cover which makes it durable and prestigious. It is slim but not Samsung-slim which means that it has "room" for good battery life and an ergonomic keypad. And this Nokia will certainly not wobble. Sure, 6500 slide, while stylish, isn't the best looking mobile out there. But I'd buy it even if I got two Samsung U600s for its price.
And to those who love their U600. There's no denying that it's a good slider. But you cannot deny that it has a below avarage battery-life and that some users have reported cases of wobbliness (and screen cracking, though that problem mainly applies to D900). Moreover, you cannot deny that some users say that that flat keypad isn't ergonomic. Note: I'm not saying U600 is bad. I think it's pretty good. But I think most of you who praise U600 and bash 6500 slide are unwilling to notice U600's flaws -- it isn't perfect U know.

SYMBIAN SUCKS! You people complain about everything. This phone is one of the best and most advanced handsets. You are always complaining lie oh it is symbian 40 or 60. THIS PHONE HASN'T EVEN COME OUT AND YOU GUYS CRITICIZE IT SO BADLY!

Hi people, i work for the carphone warehouse and I noticed a few commenting that this nokia should use the S60 OS. Be real, if this phone was symbian it would have EXACTLY the same spec as the N80 - chk the spec if you dont believe. No, I think nokia have done a good job here. I only dont like the fact that the 6500 classic doesn't have the same camera as this slide one. Our best selling handsets are always the S40 nokias in the 6xxx series. First we had the 6230, then 6230i, then 6233, currently the 6300! So for those with either the 6233 or 6300 if looking for the next one up, they're gonna have to go for the slide phone. Nokia need to produce a 6xxx series handset using the S40 operating system with a 3.2mp+ camera, you'll be looking at a cheaper N73. Anyone agree?
Anyway I got the N95 so I wouldn't consider this handset. I dont think Nokia will produce another 5mp camera phone for a while. I heard rumours about sony's 5mp camera phone, the already named K850i and LG believe it or not are looking at an 8mp phone so i'll wait for those

Features wise, this is phone is very good. Casing is stainless steel. The only feature I would wish for is HSDPA, but 3G is good. Also, since I don't trust this site on what it states about the battery life, but if it actually does last for 6 hours of talk-time that would be very good. We'll see what the price is.

i commented last time about your lightest ever cell phone 2630 and now NOKIA has come up with something very good 6500 3.2mp and with nice colour combination and smartest comfortable key pad,thank god nokia has not coloured it like 7360 YELLOW BROWN akhhhh...,6500 slide is very good in looks and thanks again to nokia that they are coming out of cheap plastics and moving into metal bodies but hope their price shouldnt be as high as nokia 8800 sirroco which is only one metal body cell phone made by nokia.
On the other hand nokia is giving what??nokia 6500 classic with 2mp camera and nokia 6500 slide with 3.2mp camera is everything ok NOKIA?why dont you give something complete on straight bar phones like nokia 6233 is all perfect just lack of camera?i hope nokia will give out something more good next time. Please dont hesitate to pass on my comments to nokia.

Absolute perfection....
I love slider phones. It has all the features I need in a mobile without breaking the bank. It is a classy looking phone. Simple yet functional. Not normally a Nokia fan....(too over-hyped), but this is a winner. Well played NOKIA.

hey,children,stay and think a second before writing:if this mobyle should have symbian and mp4 video recording at 30 fps,than nokia can stop the production of n93i for ever.this device is specially a little bit lower,to not challange n93i.that's the answer at your stupid question:"why it doesn't have that ,that,that??"
