This phone sucks alot !
Battery uses up very fast ,
the keypad doesn't work sometimes ,
it is lag .
But , the camera isn't really bad .

Had this phone for 6 months persistant software problems also when had exchanged have memory card unformatted ? phone good alot problems tho

I use this Phone for Almoust 1year now and i think it is 1 of the Best Nokia Phones i use so far out of all Nokia Phones i will give the Phone 9/10.Gotgood Camera and very good Specs for the Price Range this Phone is in

the phone get hot because lots of feature are being used at the same time so it use more power from the battery so it get hot, but this is normal and it happens to all phones including the iphone

this phone sucks.... i bought it from an authorized dealer a.k.a nokia itself... but my phone hangs after just 2 days... omg... n d keypad doesnt work.. i dunno wat's wrong w my phone.. m gonna replace it asap... *sigh*

donkey, 24 Nov 2009Try updating your firmware but back up all your contacts on... moreI did update me firmware and since then had even more issues 3 have advise there was a software problem and for this reason they no longer offer this phone.
I am looking at getting the Ericsson C903 or Blackberry Curve just not sure which is better.

Been using this phone for almost 2 yrs. Battery-excellent. Camera - very clear, photos realistic. It's pretty handy. Good video coverage. However, i got a problem with the earpiece. I can't clearly hear the voice of the other person but when using the headset, voice in the other line is good. I can also store loads of pix and songs. Overall assessment of this unit - very good!

I had many nokias, starting from 5510. None of them didn't get warm or hot during usage. And it doesn't matter if it's slide or not, Nokia 6500 always become very hot after 3-5 minutes of conversation. Does anyone know WHY?

Does this phone have white screen of death when sliding up the phone after this phone has been used for quite sometime, just like Nokia 6111 or Nokia 6280?

If you want to Update the firmware of "NOKIA 6500-slide".
Required Things for whole operation.
(1) NOKIA Updater.
(2) U.S.B. Cable.
Then first You need to Download NOKIA Updater. here I am Giving you the link to doenload for you as easy as your Hassel free operation.

First Download it Then install on your Computer.
After installation Completes Don;t forget to restart your System.
Then Run installed programme (NOKIA UPDATER)
Then follow the instructions ..it will teach you by it self..so it is as easy as Snap........
Now Read the risk Fctors of the whole operation which you may or may not face..
But beware..........
I am giving you hints which u should do.
(1) Charge the battery fully before your update.
(2) It is normal that your phone gets Switch on or Off saveral times by it self during updating.
(3)Never ever try to stop the update process once you started.
(4)Don't try to remove the usb cable during process.
(5)Backup all your datas From phone memory as update process will remove everything from phone memory.
Thats it...But if you will not follow the risk factors..then your phone can be Dead forever.. & it can be useless... so Best of Luck...

the life of the battery is very short and sometimes otherwise it a wonderful phone
