hmmm...this phone is very good.......my battery lasts like 2 days:| but i talk on him like 2 hours a day.....and i just look at video or music....i see it is good....but!!! the software is...a bit bad...not to dont let me do stuff or to go black.....but some times a line comes on the display for a second.....that happens like 5-6 times a day.....can u help me with this Bill?...and when i de block the phone the same:| that is all what this phone is doing to me........and...the slide is a bit bad it is moving a bit left and right:|

H E L P ! ! ! !, 22 Nov 2008Yes, i agree that this one's da coolest phone by nokia acco... more#1. That's probably the power saver turning the screen back-light off. I'm not sure though, as I've never really noticed.
#2 It's supposed to work that way. There's a switch that tells the phone the back cover is removed. The MicroSD card is hot-swappable - meaning it can be replaced while the phone is on. If you were to suddenly remove it while it's being accessed it could corrupt the card. Therefore, the switch disables it so that wont happen.
#3 Front camera is for video calling *only*.
#4 If you store all your changes in the General profile this wont happen. Also, if you store all your ring-tones, wallpapers, etc. in the phone memory that helps too.

Yes, i agree that this one's da coolest phone by nokia according to its design but according to its performance its 50-50. I've experienced some problems while using it, the problems are as follows :-
1> When I slide this phone & use it for a while, black screen is seen for a few seconds.
2> The external memory card doesn't work if the back cover is removed.
3> I could not use the secondary VGA camera to take photographs.
4> All the user defined settings sometimes gets back to the default settings.
Can someone tell me how to handle this problems in this phone, please ! ! !

Excellent mobile ....no doubt not the best software ...but style wise ,,slide opening,,,,battery performance,network coverage ,,awessooommeee

I bought this phone for the reason that it looks smart and small. I even used it for my mobile internet. I find the phone very nice but there was one problem I experienced lately. The usb connection was undetectable by my laptop and I can't connect to the internet using the cable only the bluetooth. This was started when I tried to update my PC suite. Anyone can help me regarding the problem? The usb port of my laptop is workling properly and no problem. I appreciate any help you can extend to me. here is my e-mail add: wallstreet_01@yahoo.com.

how to set the music player to search only the file in music folder in my memory card.? Now it add my ringtone too into music player and play it when i play song via music player.Any one pls let me know.Thanks

this phone is very but very good:X......but mine is made in Hungary..is the best...don't buy and i repeat DON'T BUY MADE IN CHINA:|..it sucks.....very low...phone...or Taiwan:|....so the best is Made in Hungary

I had to do the same to my phone. The reason is because the carriers, when they brand the phone, then have control of which updates get released in the time frame they specify instead of when Nokia may actually release them.
If you Google for "Nemesis Service Suite" and "Nokia Phone Debranding", you'll find instructions to change the product code. It's too long to post here.

How do you upragade to the latest firmware 8.30. When I checked in the Nokia site it still says the latest is 6.60. I would appreciate anyone's help.

i have a question.........when i open my nokia6500s like i just put up to see the buttons the phone is like 1 second black.......:| and after shows me...the meniu do you guys have the same problem?
