thank u very much too hunter ~_~ u using 6600? if u can reply ^^ i using qd and motorola c350 currently(QD=smartphone,C350=a sophisticated small candy phone);p i plan to buy one maybe 6600 or otherwise 6670 i wan classy phone of the year 2003 4th quarter above juz my few nickles 6600 users get some speedy programs to make ur phone fast i think there is good luck ! 8.7/10 phone for tis

i really recommend it even thought quite old ;) can make it to the fullest,so be hardworking to maximize a cool 6600

excuse me anybody can u list out the price of 6600 in ur country for this 1 year's+ phone? i consider this becoz it can upgrade to one of the latest phone and a good design :D afterall phones are for capable usage enuff and 6600 can boast others still becoz it dont really suk at many points maybe only a bit slow ^^ i wan the price in KuAlA LumPuR,United States,New zealand or singapore thanks

nokia 6600 informations
green key + asterisk key + 3 = full formatting.
*#7370# = full formatting
can handle up to 512mb mmc and 512mb rs-mmc (do a full format first and don't put anything to the phone memory so that it does not slow your phone)
can accept applications such as 6630 quickoffice, 6670 bluetooth printing, 6681 photo editor, all the handy apps like handyclock etc.
it always have errors when you install these applications like psint stuffs, JLL keylock, phonelock, some .jar files etc.
mono sounds but if you install UltraMP3 the sound is just fine
camcorder for long video with audio
SeleQ and FExplorer for browsing files
can have mp3 like ringtones if you convert your mp3 to wav format
the 6600 display is not the best 65k display but it is still very good with its big bright and crisp display
the 6600 build quality is very good
the 6600 is the windows 98 of the symbian phones
it is capable of doing multi-tasking

can anyone tell me if their this things happen to their 6600 phones: (im using my phone for about less than a week)
im using 12 Mb of my memory card.
1) hang up for a moment and then the menu button dont function. when i turn it off it function again.
2) while browsing my gallery the phone will prompt ur "media gallery.app closed" sometimes "media player.app close".

Hi, I have had this phone for about 4 months now. Just long enough to realize that I really dont like it. It is so slow. I use the phone alot and I have to be able to whip through the menus quickly. This is not the phone for the job. It has tons of features, but it takes forever to use them. Even the Phonebook, is slow. The camera rocks though. Fun phone to use when its not a "have-to". Thats why I gave the performance a 1. Design 8, Features 9. Just orderd and received my Moto V535. Seems cool. Im sure my boss will put it to the test, come time for work.

this is the most stupid phone i ever had
yesterday i have just install the antivirus 1.2.2 for my phone and u know whats my phone is just infected by virus the ANTIVIRUS is the virus the virus just drain my phone memory out and also drain my phone batery very fast i have to format my phone and to change a new battery so attention to all symbian user to be very careful to install software espectially the sofware u have downlaod from some website thats it is free

the 512mb mmc or 512mb rs-mmc does not slows down the phone for as long as you don't put anything to the phone memory.
nokia 6600 has mono sounds and the get a decent music sound you u must install the application UltraMP3.
nokia 6600 offers a lot of advantages. first it is capable of installing some of the latest applications like the quickoffice of nokia 6630 and photo editor, push to talk of nokia 6681. it also has a lot of applications available just be resourceful.
nokia 6600 may be a bit old but for me the 6600 is just like windows 98 bcoz it is compatible to most of the applications available.
nokia 6600 is the legendary nokia symbian phone.

i have used this phone about 8 month the phone is better than my previous phone moto E365
actually this phone feature and performance can be extended by certain software and application EXP:
1)extent the video recording by philip cam corder
2)u can set digital sound as ringtone by using oggplay and u can play as random each time you receive a call u will hear different sound but unfortunatly ultramp3 cant set as ringtone
3)u cant see better movie quality with full screen with smartmovie
3)u can play most of the n-gage games with this phone
4)this phone memory card can extent to 1gb but the phone will lag
5)better screen server with the WOWscreen server
and ETC but all this software is not important to me now coz it is boring.
and the big problem is you have to find put the software by yourself in internet and u have to maintance and risk in virus
and recently the nokia has only develop very less software
so in my opinion is u all better dont buy symbian phone better buy serious 40 phone like sonyerricson K750 coz it will not infected by virus and no need to maintenence
thrus me nothing special in symbian
