My 6600 Review:
Unit: the 6600 is a bit heavy and a bit bulky
Features: with a lot of 3rd party applications available the 6600 can also do other stuffs that the latest symbian phones does.
Sounds: Mono but with UltraMp3 the sound is just pretty damn fine.
Camera and video: cameraXpro and camcorder gets the job done.
Memory Card: MMC and RS-MMC up to 512mb works just fine. the unit will slow down if you put something in the phone memory.
Battery: great! it can last a full day at least.
Display: bright, crisp, excellent display. not the best 65k display but it is still very good
Overall: the 6600 is a very good symbian phone. it is not expensive anymore and it is a very tough mobile phone. i definitely recommend this phone to anyone who is low in budget or a beginner in nokia or symbian phones. if you have extra cash then it would be better to go for 6630 because of its added great features. i would give this 6600 a grade of 85%

well claith, the 6170 is bad because it has an extremely low memory of 2.2 MB so you cant do anything with it. 6260 is better than 6600 as it has more and better features but when it is opened it is huge and i think it is also more expensive, so if your willing to pay, get the 6260. i cant delete video tone app. it just keeps running. i tried to download switcher app to kill the process but wont work on my phone. ny one can help plz email me. thanx. ill give you full cracked patch apps in return. ny one from phil know how much n7710. want it so badly!!!

the quickword, quickpoint and quicksheet applications used in 6630 works in me 6600 without a problem. the photo editor and bluetooth printing application also works in me 6600. i installed the PTT (push to talk) but i don't know if its workings or not but there seem to be no problem when i downloaded it. its just that i don't know how to use it and me don't know if that service is available in the philippines.
the transcend 512mb rs-mmc works just fine with the 6600 and its not slow for as long as you don't put anything to the phone memory.
for those who wants to use a 512mb card in yo 6600 make a full format in yo phone 1st to avoid any errors. green key + asterisk + #3 for full phone formatting.
if you encounter problems with yo 6600 then make a full format. do not flash your phone coz its just a waste of money. flash only if yo full format doesn't work at all in yo unit.
seleq is the best when it comes to browsing yo phone. camcorder for long video with audio and ultra mp3 for fine music.
6600 users doesn't need an antivirus for as long as they download sis files from trusted sources.
6600 users need not to upgrade their phones immediately coz nokia is making phones very similar to 6600 with the exception of some additional features are still the same thing.
my 6600 has 50 applications installed plus a tthousand images and 82 mp3's and its still working properly without any errors at all.

hi dog style or whoever!!! i got the application camcorder pro from one of my uncle i'll ask him n tell u later!! n for playin mp3 files nothin better than ultra mp3. I'll tell u in 2 days how u can get it!!!

hey.. fan, that`s the default theme.. u can change it .. go to.. "themes" or download some, use dc++ u`ll find lots over there..
i have a question too.. can i set mp3 as ringotones ? or is there any program to use mp3 as ringtone?

people who want cheap smart phone pls dont look beyond 6600.its got unique shape and is d most reliable symbian phone.however 3230 is also good and cheap.but its looks may not apeal 2 all.

I tried 2 install radio on 6600 but it doesnt work.so d answer shud b no. radio is available on d net 2 download but worthless.
as for recording more than 9 sec. install a s/w called camera-fx it allows unlimited recording and 10x digital zoom.
as for 6600 v/s 6260 choice is difficult,but notice that 6260 is relatively new and 6600 is there in market for long time.u just cant go wrong with 6600,its that good. but if u want somethng different and not so common go for 6260.its a flip phone,mind u.but its nokia after all and overall a good deal.
