This is one of the best phone that i have ever used. i have used it for over 2 yrs and i remember that i didn't have a single problem. now i am selling it and planning to buy n70. I ust hope that it is as good as my 6600. I still recommend this phone for anyone. GR8 and thumbs up

Great phone except all my m8s always bag it coz its fat and they always call it a brick fone.

to answer you question concerning MP3 playback, this is because it is not supported. You can either change the file format to a lower quality, mono .wav file, or you can get yourself an mp3 .sis program to play the mp3 files. Otherwise my friend, not much more choice other than to get a new phone or an mp3 player...

i had this phone last 2004 its was very cool phone.but lately the bluetooth had an error. i already reformat it (5 times) but still there was an error. Im using this phone until now and i cannot use the camera, bluetooth, infrared and the gallery it doesn't open too. Im thinking if i brought this to nokia services center how much will it cost or if it can be repairable?

This has been my favourite phone after a long association with Nokia3230.Over all it has all the required features,but it lacks cable connectivity to pc.One problem i face is with "Alarm" setting.The sound of alarm is so low that it is in-audible.Although all the other sounds works fine.It also lacks FM radio.I wish it had a camera with at least 2MP & videos are also of poor resolution & jerky.I am facing anpther problem that sometimes the 'menu' key freezes for a long time &n u cant access any application,then.

This is a great phone, it has a great display, its fast (104 Mhz CPU),it has Symbian OS, great apps, its just everything you want for this price! I will never buy phones without Symbian OS!

I just bought this fone this month, and iam actually enjoying the features but the problem is that its having a slow response everytime iam opening an application, do it has todo with the memory, my memory card is 32MB but i didnt put any application/program aside from real1 player for watching videos.. i like this fone because its complete.. can somebody tell me what should i do to this fone to work more faster..??

Sorry 4 my english, i'm brazilian ~ Best phone in cost/benefit.
With this smartphone u can play ngage games, listen mp3, wma, ogg, read u ebooks, see movies in divx, install apps and much more...

Oh and by the way, mp3 ringtones are really quite unnecessary because the PC Suite reduces the size of wav files to less than that of the mp3 files

6600 is an awesome phone. It's my first symbian phone and is a hand-me-down from my sister but I'm really happy with it. Admitted, the phone has a LOT of shortcomings (listed below by someone) but most of these can be resolved because there's a huge amount third-part software available for it. Just try searching for any missing feature (mp3 ringtones, radio, ebook reader, autokeypad lock, etc) on Google and you're sure to find a free software that solves the problem. While this may be inconvenient, you also have the advantage of picking and choosing and completely customising your phone's features. Its processing speed is quite low but that's one of the very small glitches in the phone. And it has no direct usb connection to a comp but a bluetooth dongle (which isn't too expensive) will solve this problem. I'd definitely recommend this phone to a friend!

i had used this phone for more than one year first i have a 256mb memory card but i had to store more songs in it that's why i had buyed a 512 mb card but i don't face any hanging problem the only problem that comes in the phone is that it processes very slow and take a very large time in turning off and on.
