Hi 6630 ppl,
6630 rocks..those who say the camera is not good here is a very good tool.
This would remove noise from the photos taken.
1. to remove noise i use noisewear community edition which has to be installed on your PC . i am attaching the file here

2. then use Adobe photoshop album (C.D given with the phone) to enhance the colour .
Cheer 6630 users... kick out sony ericson users.

Hi Digital_Ranma,
I want ur advice man. Kindly help me out. I am planning to buy Sennheiser MX-500 earphones. can u tell me will the sound output would be equal to Ipod or atleast Sony Walkman phones... I downloaded eti camcorder 2 .. its awesome man.. Kindly help me out in this.
Will i get output of Ipod or Sony Walkman phones when i use Sennheiser MX-500 earphones with nokia 6630?

I bought this phone about 3 weeks ago and i must say i'm really satisfied with it. To really enjoy this phone I definitely recommend:
1. Use 1GB of memory, you can never have too much memory IMO. ^_^
2. Use either PowerMP3 or Viking Mp3 as your audio player. PowerMP3 has much more flexibility since it also supports OGG and AAC. The Viking Mp3 though has a much refined sound, bass is very present, not much distortion like PMp3 but a bit low on high notes. PMp3 produces much clearer high tones. Remember to tweak your equalizer to best effect.
3. Buy a Nokia Audio Adapter and use your favorite pair of earphones. I suggest using Philips (which i use right now), Sony or the ultimate pair of earphones the Sennheiser MX-500.
4. Use ETI Camcorder 2. It produces much better picture quality compared with the default camcorder although i'm having a difficult time making it work. Needs some updating from ETI i think.
5. Download, download and download all the apps and games you want and install the appropriate ones you like. The power of Symbian smartphones is in its flexibility and ability to further enchance its functionality via installable software. So surf the net and look for ones that might be useful to you.
Overall I like this phone. How i wish it was engineered with a secondary video call cam in the first place.

Ive had this phone 3 months now i sold my d500 for it, i cannot really fault this phone apart from two problems, the camera isnt very clear and comes out grainy with lines, and it doesnt have the ability to browse other bluetooth users files, apart from that this phone is probably the best ive had so far i give it bout 8 out of 10

6630 iz hott.a particular version of mp3player(vikings),makes 6630 sound like a boomed up dec with much amps.its deficiency is it lacks radio..........

But do u get the sound quality equal to Ipod or atleast Sony Walkman phones..... Is it producing crystal clear sound like apple ipod or like sony walkphone phones...I really need ur help man...??...Thanks in advance

i've got dis fone for 10 mnths now.its amazing!recently,since d past 2 dez i'm facin a prob.wen i coonect my fone 2 d data cord,and wen i clik on 'nokia 6630' frm 'nokia phone browser' in 'my computer',it gives me a msg as 'operation cannot b completed'.i wan2 transfer some images,but,i cannot get thru.plz help me.6630 rox!c ya.

I've had this phone for about a week now. Everything is excellent except for photo quality -- the pictures end up being grainy when put onto the computer. The phone also tends to restart on its own sometimes. I'm using firmware 5, and although firmware 6 has been release Software Updater does not update it for some reason.
On the whole, this still is the best phone I've used so far. It's super fast, filled with features and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Hey all,
I have been using this phone for past 3 months.. and its been a great phone to use.
I'm doing the following things with it :
1) Find my way out with google earth
2) Listen to internet radio
3) It has replaced (yes replaced!) my mp3 player.I have put a 512 mb card , but still no sign of the phone getting sluggish. I have managed to get a Nokia AD-15 connecter through which i connect my sony fontopia earbuds to this phone for an great sound quality.
4) Have live news tickers on my screen
5) Camera ia acceptable.Nice pics on a bright sunny day
6) Check my mails
7) Read various RSS
and lots more!
Now im looking for a bluetooth gps to attach with it and experiment more! :)

good news i had buyed the nokia 6630 yesterday it is very great phone its very fast but one thing i formated my memory card and i have lost the office applications adobe acrobat reader and many things also can someone tell me how i would download pls email me the sofwares if someone has or email me the process of downloading pls try to help me

Hi Guys,
I really needed help from those who upgarded their FIRMWARES through internet (Nokia Software Update). I m in India. My firmware is 5.03. I wanna upgrade it to 6.03. I used this link to download nokia s/w update..http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,1522,,00.html?orig=/softwareupdate.....
But after i connected my phone with the cable for upgrading...after searching it says "THE PHONE IS UP-TO-DATE". But the latest one is 6.03. I have 5.03. How to upgrade this ?...plz guy help me...

thanks for the advice guys. i've upgraded is to v6.03.08 via usb cable. its effective as long you keep the connection stable because if it got disconnected while updating, you need to go to the nearest repair center.
i'm using 1gb card and i dont know if its slow for you guys but to me its ok.
download powermp3 at dotsis.com. its the best site to download all symbian programs
ive even got a walkman theme. all i need to do is change my plastic case into black or something like w800.
and download brothers in arms 3d. its like playing ghost recon on a cellphone
to the 6630 users on the philippines:
1gb card is just 1,280 php on cdr-king
im using pqi but you can choose kinston also with the same price

Hey. Regarding those who asked about firmware upgrade, I've just downloaded Nokia Software Updater from Nokia.com, connected the cable to my 6630 and succesfuly updated my firmware(from 5.03.08 to 6.03.08) so I think there is no risk in doing this by yourself.While connected(by cable,only) the phone switched off by itself and after the update it switched back on and that was it.No error messages during update should appear if you follow the simple 3 step wizard.Good luck
