This phone can easily use the 512 mmc. No worries, it'll not make your phone slow.

Anyone had signal strength lack of sensitivity problems ?
My 6630 appears to need a stronger signal than my old 2100 !
It means I'm more often in 'no reception' areas than before !
Is this supposed to be progress ?
Also the signal strength bar sometimes shows no signal even when there is signal
I'm dissappointed with the functionality of my 6600. Not to mention the hard to see 'new message arrived' envelope symbol & stupid small font size when looking in phone book or texting. Yes this phone has all the bells & whistles but practicality is more important!

Hello everybody..
Will the phone get slow if i use a 512MB card??
is there anyone who is presently using a 512 MB card??
There wont be any use loading the phone wid a lot of stuff and hence making it very slow..
Kindly advice..

To everyone,
I have a friend who is partially in the phone business. According to him,YES,dual voltage rsmmc(s) CAN be used for 6630 even up to 512MB. The catch is however,as the card is filled with more n more memory,the more slower the phone gets.This would then lead to the 6630 constantly restarting by itself.
I'm not 100% sure about all this,but neither is anyone else.Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi, I'm also interested in 6630.. and yes what you said is true, but the phone itself may have a capacity limitation. 512mb for example. Does anyone know wich is the maximum capacity accepted ? I guess this will be hard to know, since that are only 128mb cards out, as you said.
I'd like to make an MP3 player from it, so the space is relevant. Guess we'll have to mail Nokia to ask. Thanks

mr gurkan whats so hard to understand? 6630 takes dv rs-mmc, 128 is the highest out right now, its not that hard... normal rs-mmc does not work, only dv rs-mmc

Is there anyone that uses 256MB or 512MB memory card for 6630?I got really confused since everbody says something different.What is the maximum MMC that I can used???please help!!!!

One cannot update the Nokia without a FLASH machine. Please do buy from Official Authorized Nokia distributor in your country & you will get free firmware updates for at least a year. For a mere 10% more, one will get a peace of mind.
Nowadays the high end phones firmware is very fragile when the phone is just release. After a few flashes/updates then it will be fine.
In Malaysia the selling price for Nokia 6630 Zitron version is RM2280.
Finally, the 6630 can only use DUAL voltage RSMMC cards (1.8v-3.6v).

Dual voltage means that the mmc works on 2 (dual)voltages; 1.8V and 3V. This is better 4 the battery life. That's all.. =]

Big thanks again,Hari.I hope to hear your update on that matter.Though I know there were a few posts on Video calls in this forum,I must ask again,"Can 6630 perform a Video Call WITHOUT the stand?" It may sound silly as the other side may not see me but is it possible to be innovative? Maybe stand infront of a mirror while calling? Hahaha...well its just a thought though :)
