I got this phone with a UK provider. I really don't like it. Worst thing is that battery power drains quickly and it takes ages to recharge. The microphone seems poor - callers can't hear me and tell me to speak up - and it's not the signal - same call/location with a bluetooth headset (a SonyE ;-) and no problem. The keys are fiddly and ergonomically poor - too low down. The central arrow/toggle control is uncertain and inaccurate. The camera is nowhere comparable to a 'proper' (low spec) digital camera - the results are blurred. The flash/nightmode are laughable - a sort of glow emits from the back of the camera a couple of seconds after the shutter has worked. Lastly the software seems unstable. The phone has 'crashed' a couple of times for no apparent reason (once overnight, which makes this phone even an unreliable 400 pound alarm clock) whilst the data was not lost, the clock and other settings had to be reset. I've had Nokia phones in the past and thought them OK but I could not recommend this to anyone. All this, coupled with the moronic banality of what service providers think is 'hip' and 'cool' in terms of 3G content, adds up to a pretty disappointing and expensive 'user experience'. [If this doesn't get posted, I at least hope someone in Nokia considers these as well intentioned comments to help you make a greatly improved product in the future]

I have no problem with the volume although it is louder when i get a message but still ok for calls. I have tried to rename the tone on my phone but there is no option for it. If u want to send on some or more advise e-mail me stephanie_kelly_1@yahoo.co.uk. I am about to give up with nokia, i still have my sharp 902, trying to sell it might switch back to it if I can't get problems sorted. Thought I would come back to nokia after years of sharp but not having much luck!!!

>>stephanie,
rename the downloaded videotone directly to you fone prior downloading another one or email me so i could send you some of my collections. btw, it is not adviseable to use videotones since it is not loud enough to hear or you'll encounter lots of missed calls and drains your battery faster(based on my experience)! why not set a ringtone and gif/screensaver/animated file instead?

Thanx Stephanie but some of the files are listed as mp4 and still don't play??? Guess i'll just have to live with it, other than that it's a great phone.

Your procedure sounds like i should be downloading the tone to my PC first but the site i use is Jamster.ie which downloads straight to the phone so at what point do i change the name?

>>odeno,
1GB? i don't think! you will experience slow processing/freeze since it has only 10mb internal memory. much better to buy another 512mb since the unit is hot swappable...don't gamble dude!
ye! you're right! n6680 is better than n70 that's why i'm going to replace mine with a new brand (no idea yet) this weekend.
>>shaben,
go to the nearest service center and ask for MMS configuration...you may also download the settings thru internet.
>>ayoyinka,
it has a calendar but no radio, only mp3 player.sound quality? same though 6230 or 6230i has better loudspeaker.
>>ray,
it can only play 3gp/mp4 format files.
>>stephanie,
1.go to the site that you have mentioned
2.download the video tone
3.right click your mouse by pointing the cursor to the downloaded video...pop-up window will appear showing open, delete, ...more and RENAME.
4.click RENAME, erase the name of the downloaded video or rename/change it. example: if the name is STEPHANIE you may change it to STEPHANIE2 or whatever you want...then
5.you may now download the next video that you like...may also rename it if you want to.

The phone is great no daught about it. But after using my 6230 and downloading the reqwireless email viewer version 4.0 and the web viewer 4.0 and now i also have the opera mini web browser with high memory (99kb ) what else can i ask for ? In my humble opinion the nokia 6230 version 5.35 is the best for this segment of phones. The thing is that nokia releases nice symbian phones and its very tempting to buy them as soon as they hit the market. I have tried also the 6230i but i had problems opening java applications that require connection to the internet. So as far as Html apps the 6230 is way superior.

I wonder does this phone have calender and radio? i find that 6230i has more features but the sound quality when you call out is rather poor, is the call sound quality of this phone better than 6230i?

b2rete,
Just to confirmed whether N6680 able to support 1 GB RS-DV-MMC /MMC mobile or not as I planning to get one. My 512 MB almost running out of space with all the multimedias files/movies
I do agreed that N6680 better then N70 .... as I have friend owning one ... some of the softwares works fine on N6680 but does not work on N70
