@brev if u think 3g is just for video calls m8 ur sadly mistaken and i got this phone to use for more than just video calls i got this for its operating system and the html browser and customer services on o2 online has never been £1.50 a minute in the last 12 months it changed 8 months ago from 50p per minute to a national rate
why slag a network off if you say you work for them and what exactly is it you do for o2?

Beware of software versions below v3...
Most on sale in uk are v2... Fault on a lot of them that wipes memory card randomly. I had three with the same fault and ended up cancelling my contract so was credit checked for nothing! Nice phone except for fault.
Signal on "3" with 6680 is amazing compared to other 3g handsets. In same room as a Moto A1000 with no signal while Nokia had virtualy full. In week or so I had handsets I was never less than half strength and always had 3g.
3 customer service also good. They get a lot of bad press but there are a lot of very happy customers.. I'll be going back as soon as the 6680 firmware is updated.

Even more bad news for me, checked my order status online, said "out of stock" rung up and they told me that even though i was told it was in stock, when it was ordered it was out of stock! very strange, had a nice long argument with the manager, really getting fed up. Got the managers extension no. and name. Going to my local o2 store tomorrow and trying to get the fone from them! Fingers crossed.
Woza.
I hope this fone is worth all this hassle!

Thanks for all the comments guys (Thanks to brev for checking the 3G coverage here in Folkestone).
Vodafone don't do what I need in terms of 3G packages either, so I'll just have to sit here twiddling my thumbs until Orange get some back in stock.
Ho-hum.....

why download songs when you cand hav loads of songs downloaded via the cable and o2 have assured me its 25p a message and 50p video calling when it starts in oct, at the moment its free on your call plan, and yes the coverage is good in essex, they normal start in in london and pan it out so essex are one of the lucky countys to get these things that come out very quick,

@ clare video messaging is 50p and online is more expensive if you need to speak with cust services it cost u £1.50 per min the ins is crap it say it covers you for loss but that is b*****ks i lost my phone and they said that my ins didnt cover it for loss cos it was my fault n i was on the gold ins, who wants ITB i know who i have called and the music you can down load is only £1.50 per song on voda but with o2 its going to cost around the £3.50 mark

on both, o2 and online, the online i think is for pepole who like to text a bit, and also with voda they charge you for itemised billing and if you want insurance they charge you £7.95 where o2 is just £4.99 and cover the sames things, and some tariffs charge for voicemail as well, also video message is 60p on voda where o2 are only 25p

im down in essex and we have great 3g coverage and even 3 is good as well, and o2 customer service is much better then voda, and i do agree 3 are crap and i would not touch then with a barge pole but o2 is slightley better then voda on tariffs, coverage ans service and i have been with them for 2 years and i rate them very highley

@ clare i am the same with o2 i have worked for them for 18months and i was with them for 4 months lowed my tariff and disx because o2 cust care are the worst of the lot they pass you from pillow to post they never know what you are talking about the reception was crap and they 3g is non existant all in all they are probably the second worst network very closely behind 3
