im with o2 online its my second year with them, i do like to get phones free which i do normally get with o2 as me sister is with o2 and she has got all her phones free she is into her 3rd year with o2, i was with voda before and i never got anthing free with them thats why i left them, you could try by saying my friend got this free with you and he only spends £30 a month, or somewhere on them lines, and you do have quite a high spend so im surprised they knocked you back, cause my brother is on the o2 max for £75 a month and he is due next monday so will l;et you know what happen on that one as he is with os direct x

@Clare
Incidentally, are you on Orange yourself? Did you get a 6680 this way on upgrade? When did you upgrade?
Thanks.

@Clare
Hi Clare, I was very calm, just phoned them up "matter of fact" about cancelling, and as I'm trying to get something for nothing out of them, I certainly wasn't shouting or demanding.
My monthly spend is (average) £70.00.
I tried again this morning, almost identical conversation - no-one bothering to try and keep me on at all.
Any other tips?

i would try again carlos all i did was say im thinking of looking at other deals as you were going to charge me £100 and she said lets see what we can do and thats when she came back and said you can have it free or pay £49.99 and get £10 of your line rental for 12 months, and it also depends how you come across cause if your shouting and demanding then they just want to get you off the phone

the thing is if you only paying about £20-£25 a month then 6 times out of ten they will give you your pac code cause they are not really losing anything, and i know orange are the worst for doing that, but sometimes it depends who you speak to, i did me mate she wanted a 7610 and the is on orange 60, first they said you can have your pac code, but left it 2 days and then called again and i got it free for her, so its just luck who you get really

OK, I'm looking for some help with regard to Network Cverag for 3G in the UK:
The main purpose for me upgrading is to go 3G, and this handset is the only one that comes close to having all the features I need. If they did a 6600 with 3G, I'd be there!!
Orange (as I understand it) have the best 3G coverage, as I need to browse internet as well as connect to my Office network when out and about. I understand that Orange and Vodafone (who I don't really want to go with) are the only ones that allow you to browse the net. 3 only has their "3 services", and no browsing facility, and O2's coverage doesn't stretch as far as Kent (according to their map on the website).
Any advice in this area would be greatly appreciated.
Carlos.

I phoned Orange and asked for my Pac code, as I was cancelling my contract to go with 3, who I could get a free 6680 from (I'm not, but they didn't know that).
I thought they'd say "Don't leave, we can get hold of a handset for you" i.e. thinking someone would try to get one from New customer section to keep me:
Orange: "OK, I need to transfer you to the cancellations department"
Me: "Here we go" I thought, lots of "Please don't cancel, we'll give you this, this and this.....etc."
Orange: "Hi, I understand you want to cancel your contract? Can I ask why you want to cancel?"
Me: "Yes, looking for an upgrade to the 6680, but you can't get hold of one, despite the fact that all your shops have them in stock, and if I was a new customer, you could supply me with one straight away".
Orange: OK, here's your PAC code, it's valid for 30 days......"
End of conversation.
So, 8 years of loyal service with Orange (previously Hutchison Telecom) counts for nothing.
"Existing customers now get the same deals as new customers" - My arse they do.

3G sim (or U-sim as it's called), should be sent automatically when you upgrade / buy a 3G phone.
If you don't get a u-sim, contact your supplier immediately to upgrade the sim card to the correct one.

@ clare and others! Just got on the phone to o2, managed to get my 6680 ordered, also getting it sent special delivery, should be here thursday before 5pm - for no extra charge. Had to pay £49.99 for phone but said they would knock £10 off my contract, they offered me this before they were aware what offer i had been given on my contract - 800 minutes x-net anytime and 2000 txts for £30, so this is now £20!
Just shows what a bit of brute force and ignorance can get u!
Woza.
P.S is anyone aware if you receive the 3g sim automatically?
