one more question...and it may be long shot...

can the memory card of the 6680 be used in the memory card adapter reader of an Archos???

Its just that i have an archos with 20GB memory and if i can tranfer picture/videos across to that , the 6680 would be a very good buy. I am assuming that the memory card for the 6630 can be used on the archos, as i have been told this uses the standard card.

              can any1 help please???

And one more remark, like someone already mentioned here, the quality of the plastic of the phone, really gives you a very fragile (latin for cheap!) feel, and the back camera cover, feels like it will brake off if you open it too much, and i think you all notice that little silver ring around the camera lens, so, if you're not careful when sliding the cover to activate the camera, IT ACTUALLY SCRATCHES THE SILVER RING!! LOL Ridiculous! Its suppose to protect it!! And thats ugly!
Im a big fan of Nokia, but this time, i really dont know what to say....

I bought 6680, first it looked fine, but after really trying its function out, i found out that, some programs that came along with it, wouldnt work, I mean, after you try opening it, it would bump you out to the menu again, and then, while i was looking at the pictures i've taken with the phone, suddenly, the program, would once again force you out to the main menu, and when i tried to access the photos again, all of them was lost! I previously owned 7610, which seemed to be much more stable then 6680. And the strange part is, 7610's photo quality seemed better then 6680! Which doesnt make sense, the pictures taken with 6680 looked like pictures taken with 6600! So, im kinda dissapointed with it.

I don't like it! Except its fast data speed it has nothing interesting!!! There are much better models available from other brands(Motorola E1000 since last year, Alcatel OT-S853 not out yet)... I'm sure the E1000 will be cheaper and of a much better quality...

can some1 tell me if the Nokia 6680 has expandable memory and if the memory cards can be purchased here in the UK. Also, can the memory card for this phone be read by most memory card readers?

                          Thanks,

Already in the market 3 days ago in Malaysia. Hot and hot and hot.... price is hot too at RM2599-2650(around USD690). Build is solid and looks cool. Blue colour seems like out of stock. Burgundy colour looks ok too.

Sorry guys, i made a mistake, which is that it uses not Duel-Voltage RSMMC, but low-voltage RSMMC. 1.9V RSMMC. Those RSMMC in the market are all 3.8V RSMMC. But don't worry, 1.9V RSMMC will be in the market soon and the largest one is 512M.

it's simular as 6630. MP3 can be set as ringtones. CPU is 230MHz which is much faster than 3230, browse wap just like flashlight. There is a cam-cover to protect cam. The 2nd camera can not be used if there is no 3G network covering. 64MRSMMC is big enough for applications which is needed, but not for games(which is i don't like). The Duel-Volt RSMMC function is good, 512M could be found in the market. It looks cool, and make you feel cool. But i don't like the figure of the keypad which is too tight.

Yes. This phone has full mp3 support. Some networks may block mp3 for exmaple Vodafone UK.

Download OGGPlay to make the most of mp3's on the phone. Oggplay handles many formats and is very phone centric unlike other mp3 players. It sorts mp3's according to their ID's for example so you can browse by artist name, album etc.

As for the memory. The phone uses expandable memory. 6680 comes bundled with a 64 MB RSMMC-DV card. Advantage of expandable memory is that you can store everything in the card and take it out and use it other devices. Thats why this phone is hotswappable. Much better than being reliant on phone memory. Very handy for document and media. There are high speed cards now also availible.

functions are okay, but internal memory is not sufficient. this always made the phone hang.

Please, from one that already buy this 6680, tell me if you can put an mp3 file as ringtone or not? I read on the comments different opinion. Somebody told that is possible, other said that is not possible. So, what is the truth?

the 6680 uses a 260k screen so there is hardly anything written for it.Its slower than 6630 because of screen and has got faults with settings that need a reboot but this was in earlier phones that still could be round in stock.it feels crunchy to me as if it will crack if knocked like its made of inferior plastic,,perhaps to make it less heavy .not as good as 6630 in a lot of rtespects
