Hello friends! I've desieded to purchase new nokia 6680 my question from you people is that before buying this modle that how it is and how you feel about this while using it? If anyone can guide me I shall be very thank full to him... I am recently using 6600 and quite satisfy with it, Thank you.

Read before you post. Search before you post. There is a big chance that your question is already answered...
to solve your problems is to simply bring your unit to the nearest Nokia Service Center and ask for FREE FIRMWARE UPGRADE. check it out by pressing *#0000#. the latest version is v4.04.07. once upgraded, the bugs will be fixed.
since there is no available service center in my area, i've accepted the offer of one technician i met which costs me $5.50.
i'm enjoying n6680 for six months now...with kingston 512mb mmc on board.
my previous phones were: n7650,p800, p900,n6230, p910i, n6230i,voyager, se k700,treo 650, n70, w800...but
n6680 is still the best!
it has tons of softwares available for free!
just search the links previously posted here.

I had the 6630 model and had the same problem. The solution is that you need first transfer files into built in memory that is 10MB and then on a card so the largest file that you can put on it is 10mb :(
But that was the case with my 6630 model...

why nokia phone is lagging? compare to others, nokia is much much lagging.

Phong Vu, I have the same phone. Just as our friend James Fisher said, the phone is only compatible with a ”Reduced Size, Dual Voltage (1.8/3.0 V) Memory Card”. You should have read this in the instructions manual of the phone. Yesterday I went to a store and tried such a 512 Kingston memory card, which worked (though it only showed 490 Mb). There were also 1Gb and 2Gb available by ordering. Firmware does not require upgrading.
Now go and try to exchange the card with a compatible one (price is the same). Next time try it yourself before buying.

my phone is stuck on the headset setting and will only work with the headset i never set it to this it just came on when the batteris ran down now i cant get it off help

Hi, i just bought my new hp today. everything looks fine (for now) but i have a question. I tried to load up this track to my phone, but it says not enough memory on phone. Problem is, i have a total new 512MB memory that i bought at the nokia store itself. Can anyone help me with this issue?

You can use the Nokia 6680 as a modem on your computer to connect to the internet. Simply install the modem drivers and options included on the cd from the sales package. Then install the phone as a modem using the modem options. Lastly contact your network to get the connection settings ie dialup number etc and create the connection using windows new connection wizard. And presto you have a 384Kb p/s modem for interner usage!

i just bought nokia's 6680 i tried to instell the file welcome to 6680, it's installer was already present in my phone. After installation when i tried to run it
it got stuck during the loading period. is this error present in this model or is there something wrong with my phone? please let me know

yes dude u can't use.. the n6680 for your computer for internet.. because is UMTS .. and have high speed modem 384 kbps

yeah, you can change the fonts unlike n70 and here's how:
1. install Font Remover. use it and it will tell you turn off/on your unit. don't worry, the original fonts are installed on Z: drive.
2. install handy file. go to C: drive, System and create a folder named FONTS. then, copy/paste on that folder your collections of fonts (.gdr files)
3. once the unit is on, the first font on the top list (alphabetical order) will be the one to be used. ex:
ARIAL
COURIER
CURLZ
...if you want to use CURLZ, just simply rename it to ACURLZ or whatever to put the name of the font on the TOP list. Off/on your unit...voila, you're DONE!

can't open messaging? delete some files to decongest your internal memory/mmc or change the settings from mmc to phone...press Messaging/Options/Other/Memory in Use/change to Phone Memory OR reformat your phone (settings)

i hope anyone can help me which regards my messaging menu that won't open. i can'n call anyone and i feel likewise that made incoming text msgs and phone calls to me are both barred. perhaps it's in the settings but won't work out. pls help!!! thanks 09205333542 for any details.

Hi,just bought the phone and really impressed-except one problem, i downloaded an 'actual tune' from wap and saved in it my gallery (tracks), however when trying to save it as a ringtone it wont let me,it only says 'unable to select,object can only be viewed'? can anyone help por know whats happning?
