it is indeed a great phone, although it needs to really be secure all the time. Meaning you always have to be careful to not drop it or keep it with other devices that may interfere with its functions. beware of viruses. it happened t me and then the system of my phone started to be busted eversince that time. i got rid of it that time. besides, its hard and expensive to get a new housing for this phone here in the Philippines. Better check too if u can use all the features like the @way video call.. coz in some countries, it aint offered yet... with regards to the size, if you are a girl, its advisable to get a smaller phone, but for businessmen and the like, i think this is one phone you'l love... but to those who are just looking for style and a fashionable phone, its not advisable to get this one. but out of 5 stars, im giving this phone a four ****...

I brought this phone 1week back and im quite impresed by its looks and its features but yes regarding the keypad it should had given the automatic keypad look function but overall its a good phone im planning to keep it for more thn 1 year if it does nt create problems later on. But I think it wnt create anyproblems later on by its present functioning capabilities. All its features are excellent. thanks to NOKIA for giving its consumer's real quality products.

very nice phone! actually it's almost like my first pc :) 220 mhz processor, 20 mb of RAM... very close to a pentium 1 pc with 32 mbRAM. it's also a very useful tool to cheat on exams, just free the mmc (64 supplied) and fill it with lessons (*.jpg, *.doc, *.xls) and start writing on the exam sheets :D lucky me!

Hi, I have a friend that's bought Nokia 6680 and he has a problem.
Each time he plugs in the data cable he gets the “the power level for this hub has been exceeded” message or the computer resets instantly.
Is it possible that a short on the data cable exists? Has anyone encountered this?

>>choy,
maybe there is something wrong with your tone. have you checked your phone or mmc available space? it is adviseable to save any datas or apps in the mmc and not internal/fone.
>>poizn,
wether k750,k750i,w800(bad mono speakers, small fonts, limited apps, save 15 to 20 msgs only on sim card and not in the mmc, you can't hide important datas,etc.)...n6680 really outshine them all.
however, i've been waiting for the arrival of p990. i think this one is also good despite its huge design.
>>chida,
yeah! the price of this unit is going down and down in anticipation for the release of the N series. this way, they have enough mark-up value for customers swapping/trading their units.

>>francisco,
mmc not working?
-double check if it is really an RSDV MMC
-delete all files and reformat it thru mmc reader
-return it to where you bought it(i guess you still have the warranty) and replace it with a new one compatible to your unit
>>james fisher,
yes! you have to charge it at least 12 to 16 hours...it's also good if the unit is OFF while charging.
>>acceleracer,
n6230i or n6680?...hmmmm...actualy i already bought three n6230i for my brother (last year) and sisters (this year) as gifts because it is already complete (mp3,video,camera and you can change themes, fonts size and colors, etc) but i still prefer large screen.
>>odeno,
n80? i also like it but i think i can't stand 3 hours battery/standby time.
n70? i really like its design and weight but the processor is very slow that's why i've disposed it. now i read from one site that a new n70 firmware upgrade is already released to fix the bugs but still you can't change the small fonts in messaging unlike n6680 (i've made 12 fonts design so i could change it whenever or wherever i want...)
manual keylock: press left key then asterisk
auto keylock: install free applications from the links previously posted here
i'm using n6680 for five months now and so far...so goooood!

odeno:
thanks for replying: I guess the problem is not the Voltage because as I said I bought a Kingston MMCM/521MB memory card wich is Dual Voltage (1.8V/3.3V) and according to Kingston homepage is compatible with Nokia 6680. However telephone dont recognize the card. PLEASE, Any other idea about what is causing the problem?
thanks in advance

I have had this handset for nearly two months and I have to say its great. I have had no problems with it whatsoever(apart from my own stupidity), and it is probably the best phone I have ever owned. I work in the industry over here in the UK, and most people who have this phone are generally happy with it. My handset has a 512mb card in it and is working fine, I have over 2000 texts and 3 full albums stored on it at the moment with no error messages or anything. To those of you who are complaining about the battery life, I charge mine 3 times a week and never have a problem with it losing charge in one day unless I am using it as a modem for my laptop-which drains it quite quickly! Are you sure you charged it properly when you first got the phone?? You are meant to charge the battery for at least 12 hours on the first charge to give the battery a full complement of power. Hope this helps.
