I mean like my nokia 6233 when the screen goes blank (sleep mode or power saver mode) and I recieve a text then when the screen goes blank again it shows a little message sign. It is usually on all series 40 5th edition nokia phones

c,mon people..have u ever owned a NOKIA before ..or a mobile phone ..like...
options like playing music while texting are around for years in NOKIA phones ...and also phone will NOT show ANYTHING on the screeen while in sleep mode (that's why it's called SLEEP) .. tapping on the screen will return from sleep mode to standy-mode/clock screensaver ...

I've heard that nokia have taken that strip off information when the phone is in sleep mode that shows any new messages or missed calls is this true. Also how is the response to te tapping on the screen to show the time ? Thanx

I went to get this phone today in black. I'm on contract with O2 and wanted to just upgrade. I went to the O2 shop, phones4u and Carphone Warehouse and they all said the black model is exclusive to Orange.
Now I know this isn't entirely true as you can buy the sim-free black model from Nokia's own website but I want to get it free on an upgrade. Does anyone know any where I could do this? Will the black model remain exclusive to Orange for ages?

compare to some joker phone w9x5 using ARM9 167 Mhz CPU

i have one
chrome one scratches easily .. :( i have sceenguard on the display..so that is protected ...buttons are ok, no scratches but it scratches easilly on the bac side ... u have to llwayz keep it in a puoch or smth ...
it's pretty frustrating ...mine got scratched just by sitting on a table, minor scratches but in time they will add up ...just like on the classic 8800 ..
