1st i brought the nokia 6303, great phone, camera not bad for a mobile, battery life very good, ringing volume very loud as well as text alerts, signal strenght very good, texting is a bit hard cause you have to push buttons hard to get a response.
2nd i sold my 6303 to daughter & brought this the nokia 6700 in silver/black, ringing volume is even louder so can be heard even in a handbag, camera takes excellent close up pics of friends, family etc, very easy to text cause buttons push easily, the screen is so much clearer, its almost crystal clear, the casing is lovely feels solid in hand, does not warm up after alot of use, def a finger magnet mobile but is also easy to wipe clean, signal strenght is full & has not yet dropped, not had long enough to say about battery yet but will in a couple of weeks.
Menu is the usual s40 software, which is what i like in both phones.

Question to Steve or Ian who also has 6700 classic, is about the lowest row of buttons.Ian must know that lowest row of buttons on the 6233 are easy to work with. Is it the same with this phone? Thanks in advance...

I have had this three days now, and got it to replace my Nokia 6233. I thought it would take a special phone for me to upgrade, and nobody had a phone that suited my purposes, till this..
It has a familiar series 40 interface, has GPS and maps installed and a 5mp auto focus camera that takes reasonable snaps.
It is very slim, fits in the hand nicely, is reassuringly slightly heavy and being stainless steel, is a very up market phone to look at. Mine is the black one, and looks excellent.
The signal strength shows more bars than my old 6233 and my wife's HTC Touch HD on the same Orange signal, it links up perfectly with my car's bluetooth, downloads the phone list etc etc.
As happy as I can be with a phone..

Is it easy to operate w... moreit DOES NOT have touchpad !! it has allready been said like 10000 times...it has normal push butoons, just like Arte (the navigation ones), all buttons on this phone are PUSH buttons, like on any regular phone...nothing is "touch"

One question for Steve from Serbia. Is it easy to operate with the touchpad of this Nokia? I am thinking of the down level of the keypad, is it too close to the edge of the phone? I have Nikia 6233 and it is easy to work, and the phone is not falling out from your hand when you touch lowest row of the keypads. I am waiting for this pgone but it will not come to the Serbia untill August. Best regards...

I have talked to one of the Nokia mobile dealer in Delhi(India), he said this model will be available after few weeks(3-4 weeks).
Some of the websites shows, this model is available in all the four metro cities (delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Culcutta). If you will have any information about the launching of this model in the Indian market, please let me know.
I am in regular touch with this dealer. As soon as I get the information, I will update you.

I am due for an upgrade soon. Last upgrade was the 6120 Classic. Was not able to read the font as it was so small.Kept the 6230i. Can read this font easily. How does the font size on the 6700 compare? Is the font size adjustable?

I guess it depends on the occasion?
I'll be getting a 6700 as soon as on PAYG.
It is the perfect (non touch screen) mobile.
