I have a Nokia 701 and I seriously advice no o... morehey , I gave nokia care to reinstall my nokia701 after updating it to FP1 thru OTA.
But when they try to reinstall it they ended up with my set dead.
now i'am afraid bcoz i hav only 1 cell n they r saying it will take 7 days and they will send it to headoffice.....can't we do hard reset using phonix,,,,
has any 1 tried it?

camera quality after the fp1 update is better and games are better too because the processor runs faster but main thing is watching movies is wow because of Dolby digital experience...

Hey guys,
I have a Nokia 701 and I seriously advice no one to perform a Hard Reset after upgrading to Belle FP1, you might end up with more issues than the ones you currently may have (e.g.Office tools are gone, some apps simply don't open).
And by the way, the only way to perform a new installation is actually through a Hard Reset, it's not possible to perform a new "clean installation" using Nokia Suite as it always gives back the error 12054.
Will come back if i find the solution (If any) ...

all indian users of nokia 701....
do not go to nokia care to get your software updated,,coz nokia hasn't uploaded the new version i.e. v 112.010.1404 on its servers for indian variants.so,they may update it using some other codes from european list of variants and ultimately your product code will get changed from the one mentioned below the battery and some other sort of problems.
....but there is one good news also,,,that you can update it using ota functionality of your phone or check for the latest version using nokia suite.if nokia suite doesn't show any updates then that means that the pc update is not meant for indian users.as soon as nokia upload the update for indian variants on its servers,,i'll let you know.

yes the fp1 really improves the performance, its much faster now and no lag in menu and apps open faster also .

701, 17 Apr 2012plz update the configuration...Nokia 701 has a very nice belle UI/configurations...... upgraded software from (recycle) C7,but with actual downgraded hardware structures .

I see some comments that it really improves the performance of the phone but apparently some game will be useless like angry bird. and other also says that after the upgrade the camera shot becomes poor. why does nokia easily upgrade firmwares while having a hard time maintaining all it's good feature. I guess this is a one thumb up and one thumb down for them.

Every variant has different settings belongs to different region..
If nokia update your software with middle east region than your mobile language is urdu, farsi, arabic, and english also..

hey im from egypt and when i tried to update my phone through nokia suite it said no update available but when i checked for update from sw update app in my phone the pdate appears it was 25 mb , i installed it and its awesome the speed is very good and the new apps is awesome ,so try to update the phone from the sw update app on the phone not from nokia suite thx nokia :)

please someone from India...can u give ur phones product code which u can find on the steel plate below the battery. Remove the battery to see the code...it ma begin as 059...etc..Also check ur update version by typing *#0000# and see if ur phone code is the same as shown in the version details.

nokia rocks ..belle is suprb fast now..overall profrmance is good...if nokia makes even fast in belle fp2 that ll be great...need more..ghz
