c, 27 Oct 2011got the cell 2day . Exprnce: screen s awesome. Music ok... more3G will work for sure contact Airtel i am using this mobile and doing Voice call Regularly there are some small issues but over all phone is a GREAT PACK at GRT PRICE

in regards to my old post that the breathing light is not working, i just figured it out...... wen u have screensaver(Clock) power on, the breathing lights will not blink,,,,, tanks everyon...really really enjoying ma fone

AnonD-4091, 28 Oct 2011the standby breathing lights not blinking, it only blinks w... more9jageek,Pls note if it's working for missed events & mssgs then it's probably ok. I still belief it's setting issue. So follow this steps to get it working.
Go to setting - phone - notification lights - standby breathing light - set d breathing light to on.

3g is not coming , (airtel).dont know whethr my fault or cell.pls any 1 help me to get 3g.
Camera good not best as 8mp .
Fast,good ui.
Browser still needs to improve.

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2011Buy yourself Android, Samsung is the best mobile manufacter... moreAndroid is sweet yes but for some people that are not ready to spend more than what they used in purhasing this piece in data bundle, say in 18 months ... symbian is still best. And what more, Nokia has improved.
Now Sony Ericson is great but the Xperia Arc you mentioned is just too costly to be compared to this.
If you are having firmware problem, be patient, Nokia updates there phones from time to time and if u go with the flow u will get what u want.
If its a hardware problem, don't waste time logging complains or asking them to repair it, ask them to replace it with new one and don't give in if they try to tell you its just a minor thing that won't take long to fix.
Finally if there is any feature u want that this piece does not have... Look for another one that has most of the things u need. Just remember there is no one Nokia phone that has it all, thats why u are eyeing this in the first place.

AnonD-27143, 27 Oct 2011i bought this headset just yesterday and this headset ROCKS... moreim planning to buy 701 but have some doubt regarding it's display bcz it has a lcd display .have you ever used samsung galaxy or nokia n8. I mean does the ips display on nokia 701 is better than amoled or super amoled displays.has anyone compared 701 with samsung amoleds being displayed same image on both handsets...i just want to know that other than brightness,which display has more clarity and vividness in colors..can u identify the pixels on 701 or it's hard to identify them.i've heard that apple uses ips retina in it's iphone in which you cannot identify the pixels which results in ultra sharp and high contrast images.i've also seen a video on youtube comparing n8's display to 701.no doubt 701 is brighter but as i saw, colors on n8 looked more vivid to me but little bit artificial also.somebody plz help me solve this confusion bcz display is the most attractive part of any handsets.besides android it's the crystal clear display on samsung mobiles that has made samsung so popular today.

AnonD-4091, 27 Oct 2011just noticed 2 new bugs after updating ma fone to the lates... more9jageek, just swype down from the top down to reveal d notification & touch d ntw icon & check if its in d dual mode, if not touch ntw mode & make your choice btw d 3G,Gsm or dual mode. Also access the setting mode on your menu check phone setting -then notification lights & change d standby breathing light as u desired.

just noticed 2 new bugs after updating ma fone to the latest firmware
1, the 3G is no longer working
2, standby breathing lights no longer blinks
is any one experiencing the same issue as me ??

I changed form samsung to nokia 701 so i m having lots of problems in understanding the functions, Moreover they havn't given any booklet to go thru....
The music thru loudspeaker is not worthy,its worse than nokia n73....pics taken in night gives the white hue when the flash is on where as N73 pics are quite crisp...
else the Phone is superb!

javid, 26 Oct 2011nokia 701 is a very low sound .some times call my phone the... moreall because this headset is not Xpress Music. if u want to have a higher sound volume for ur music, u rather choose to buy Nokia Xpress Music.
