as i mentioned in my earlier review, today i got some more issue of call hanging and data speed slow. when i checked the sim has got locking facility (as like memory card). it was loose. just push it porperly and you can get an click sound and fully the sim card disappears into handset. that is the fine fit of sim on this phone. now hope hang issue or slow data speed wont occur.

You won't be able to use the sleeping screen app with the 701 or any app that requires an amoled. 701's a bit fatter, and the speakers are worse. But apart from that, it's faster. It aids multitasking due to the larger ram.

any of you guys are facing heating problem while charging it......I got my cell heated up after charging just for 40 min....I got schoked.....

hey i bought this fon today.....but i think i got the buggy cell.....Firstly it has hanged thrice a day......and also at the 2mm charging side the case is not perfactly packed so i can see the dispaly light through tiny hole there.....also from 1 side it elongated....Though they said that they will replace it with hin 48 hours if der is any issue....????Suggest me wha t to do...if they dnt replace..I am afraid bcoz hav put my 2 mnths salary on it.....

i just bought dis fone today and i'm loving it, but i noticed something funny
after changing my security code and set my fone to ask for security code @ power on, i noticed it will say incorrect security code until i use up the 5 attemps and i'll then hav to wait for 5 minutes and then it will accept my code....every other things is working smoothly for now,,,, thumbs up nokia, i really really loving my 701

Sony Ericsson is also good, i have the XPERIA ARC, and it's a good performer. It's also cheap, and the image quality is nice with it's Bravia engine system.
Nokia?? Well, it's a shadow of it was was in the past, and if you look right now they're betting their horses on windows phone 7.
This is actually not a bad phone (701), and the symbian is improoved, but it doesn't have the support that Android market has.... also symbian belle is a cheap copy of what it is Android in it's best essence.
Your choice, but don't get fooled by Nokia reputation....It's a shadow of what it was in the past, now it's just as good as any manufacter around, perhaps worse, because their phones are way expensive against the competion.

after waiting for this phone. Ive already have it. almos t 6 day i using this phone. the touch screen is very smooth. the sound not good is low sound prefer to have a headset or nokia 360 to have a better sound. But i dont want to listen in a loudspeaker i prefer to use headset or a speaker. The battery OMG is not take to long to use it. it consume very fast if you are going to use everytime internet, texting, watching, calling and gaming consume fast but it's okay. I love Nokia 701..But i cannot organize my video, i cannot create a folder to filed them . I hope there will be an application to create new folder in the video to organized, an application for free or in the next software update... More Power NOKIA!!

nokia 701 is a very low sound .some times call my phone the ring is hanging and very low qulity speaker

Experienced users, please help!
I'm undecided what to buy: I used Nokia phones since 1993. But now I need GPS on my phone, so it seems I am forced to buy a smartphone.
This is what I absolutely need:
1. talking to the phone (of course). So, excellent sound.
2. a long life battery. I used to recharge my phone every 7-10 days, so I hate to carry a recharger or a spare battery with me. I don't want a phone which needs to be recharged daily or twice a day. Battery life is VERY important for me.
3. GPS. I need to use the GPS very often, and in foreign countries/cities.
4. a reasonably small phone.
This is what I don't need:
1. Playing games on my phone. (I just bought a 6000$ desktop for games).
2. Browsing the internet (I usually carry a laptop with me, and I will soon buy an ultrabook. But, maybe my needs will change about browsing in particular).
So, what should I choose? Android? Symbian Belle? It seems Android eats battery very fast, while Symbian will be abandoned soon. After researching the specs on paper, I hesitate between these:
1. Samsung Galaxy S2 or S (they have all I need, plus a great battery o paper)/
2. Nokia 600 or 701 (I like more the lok of N500 and N600, than the rounded corners of 701, but N600 is not on the market yet).
3. Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray (great look, plus all I need...except for the battery life? I really don't know how this phone is behaving in real life).
Any other suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks, and sorry for my bad english, I am not a native.
