There will be bug fixing firmware ... moreOh really.I have used c6 before N8.Two months back I received an update for C6.New maps,new browser,split screen typing with swype as well.So how do you claim that S60V5 is abandoned.In fact let me teach you a bit of Nokia now.S>3 and anna,belle and whatever will come after that are all updates to old symbian system which is like s60v1-----s60v5--S>3---anna--belle---c--------till symbian sales.

Dear other OS users especially android fans.Please stop posting fake comments and reviews of this phone.If you are not satisfied with your virus infested android os and its crappy battery life you are welcome to try Symbian belle and 701.
This phone really rocks.I am now using it for quite some time and really rocks in all departments.Nokia's reliability and belle's performance is lethal.

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2011i have used the 701 for a week .. I have not faced any prob... moreI initial days out of curiosity we use phone alittle too much that's when we require daily charge,slowly you will settle down with nokia 701's excellebt battery life.For me it once in 42 hrs for now.
For GPS you need to download maps using ovi suite or wi fi first then u can use it online or offline as you please.701 comes with lifetime free gps,if you have maps installed.

@Karen,Just 1 hr back I received file size of 380 MB without any issue.Before that once a file of 257 mb and another of 305 mb.all wiyhout hassles.
But I am curious to know why use bluetooth when you can use USB mode to transfer files in very less time as compared to bluetooth.

somz, 19 Oct 2011let me rephrase... i had received a 16 MB video file on my ... morecmy friend,,,16mb is not a large file...and you can even send a 50mb file to old nokia phones like n70 or n73 and they will receive it successfully.but if u try for 100mb,they won't bcz on those old devices the phone memory is very less.that's why i asked you,what is the phone memory of nokia 701 ?..on such a high end device like nokia 701,,,atleast 400-500mb bluetooth file recetion was expected.i wanna buy one for me but this issue made me to think for some more time. you plz try some large file(300mb) and tell me..if it receives it successfully.i'll definately buy nokia 701 bcz i really like its specifications,it's a complete package.nokia hasn't left even a single thing which is not present in nokia701.waiting 4 your reply....

i have used the 701 for a week .. I have not faced any problem like what has been mentioned so far and i love this phoneonly 2 questions that i havei have to charge My phone once a day .. Compared to the e52 what i feel that this phone battery is not powerful so do you all need to charge it every day ?In gps does this phone have gps data ? Im unable to find it ...Over all its a must buy ... .My software Verion is 111.010.1009

Somz, 19 Oct 2011After reading your post I tried to send an 16 MB MP4 VIDEO.... moreHi..i have read on other forums that while sending a file using bluetooth there is no problem but if you try receiving a large file,it stops after 4-5%.so, if u wanna check,try to send some large file say 50mb,100mb,200mb and then 300mb file from other device to your nokia 701 and post ur opinion.i think it will not accept file larger than 50mb.like if you wanna receive a 300-400mb movie using bluetooth from some other device,you can't.can you tell me the phone memory of your 701 and is the file received to message inbox or mass memory ???,,then only i can give u some proper comment.

Though there we some errors for different type of video files whose CODEC were not supported like FLV. that was not an issue.
check yours.

can anybody tell me that, what is the exact size of phone memory and mass memory of a fresh 701 that is available to the user (without intalling or storing any data on any of these memories)?
