Hi....i want to know if i will update the software on the phone by a nokia center then wat r the new modification i will get on the home screen menu ?? Plz sombody tell me the ear phone 's specification come nokia 701

i have used the 701 for a week .. I have not faced any problem like what has been mentioned so far and i love this phone
only 2 questions that i have
i have to charge My phone once a day .. Compared to the e52 what i feel that this phone battery is not powerful so do you all need to charge it every day ?
In gps does this phone have gps data ? Im unable to find it ...
Over all its a must buy ... .

hey i read all ur probs ....even i have this phone buyed a week ago i just wanna askk u guys that have anyone updated the firmware and got the probs like bluetooth recieving failure or without updating the firmware they are facing this probs ....because i dont remember when i got this fone i dint check the blutooth recieving prob i just go to sw update and updated to new firmware and when now i checked iam also having prob with blutooth sooo i thought its because of firmware problem .... And when it comes to hd games i had lots of prob like the game nfs shit it eventually lags and also asphalt 6 does the same ...after installing dungeon hunter the games start but after selecting single player start game it just hangs and displays nothing i waited waited but it dint recovered atlast i had to remove the battery and restart the fone....please guys take out your time and read this post and please reply me that wheter you persist the same problem not.... Thanks.....

before buying this ph i have read alot of comments about this ph prblm,everyone says it is laggy,slow,automatic restart,bluetooth prblm,low bettery bck up,low sound. . .!
Seeing those comments i was afraid to buy this mobile.but when i used it i saw their is no prblm...everythings is good...
I don't know why those persons comment like this...what thay want!
If any one want to buy 701.i recommoded it :)

AnonD-25569, 18 Oct 2011i have tested every other thing and every thing works fine ... morehai PSANDEE...for your information, when i saw your comment about problem in receiving video file via bluetooth, i trying to test mine by asking my friend to send his mp4 video file to my 701 and it works fine!...don't have any problem and the file completely received by my nokia 701...also before this my girlfriend select 20 pictures from her phone and send all of them. and my phone perfectly received those pictures one by one automatically without any problems

The 701 is already considered cheap for a mid range phone, RRP only MYR1,130(265 Euro), cheaper than X7 & N8. Xperia Ray cost slightly more, around MYR1,279(298 Euro), SE Neo if original set no way can be that price.

AnonD-19534, 17 Oct 2011Nokia 701 is a very good phone.But the asking price for the... moreDear, 2016 is 5 years from now,and for your kind info til 2016 nokia will support it with upgrades.That means at least 5-6 years after 2016 symbian phones will be supported by care centres. one more upgrade is coming next year feb.So is there any more vibrant os than symbian now.anna-belle and then next due in f2b 2012.Any samsung,apple phone can't last more than one year without any hassles.only nokia phones last for 4-5 years.So even if you buy a symbian in 2015 hope it to last till 2020.

They told me that my phone is repaired successfully and dispatched from Nokia head quarters. I would most probably receive my phone in 2 or 3 days. I hope the problem of Bluetooth is resolved.
For people who ever are thinking to buy this phone I am pretty much impressed with its performance though I have used it for a short span. Its blazing fast. Hd games and graphics are faster. I was playing with it on the day i bought it until i found this problem of Bluetooth(the phone fails to receive large files like music and videos.check if the problem exists in your phone when you are buying it) . I hope its just a piece specific problem and not the firmware. Every thing else is really fine. No sign of lag what so ever. Nokia store has decent number of apps which are enough for daily life usage. I cant comment on the loud speaker problem that people are mentioning here because i have not used it to that extent. WiFi connectivity is dam good. I generally don't use phone more than a year. So i really don't care if Symbian is going to die or already dead as long as i can use my phone according to my priorities.I would be happy enough if they fix the bugs. My final advice for people who want to buy this phone is rather than depending on these reviews just go and check the phone by yourself in any of the Nokia priorities. Every phone has its own issues. There is no phone in the market without issues. So it finally comes down to your own priority and you need to decide what you want.
