They asked me to handover to nearest Nokia care and they sent to head office. After a week I got the phone, past 4 months it is working fine. I dont think repeted flashing will solve your problem. I complained thru this mail id nokiaindiadigitalmarketing@ovi.com and got good response.

Went to nokia care several times and updated also...they even gave a new phone ala but over heating atill the same. Have ur heating probllem solved after flashing??

because I like t... moreIndeed it's the best phone for its price with its cool hd screen.The only problem is the lack of apps.Otherwise perfect.
A good alt is Sony Ericsson Ray with ICS on board.Almost same specs as 701,but it lags a lot and smaller screen.
Choice is yours.
U could buy a 701 and an ipod touch 4 to have the cool apps missing on the 701 on the ipod.That's my choice.
U have Nokia OS and iOS for cheaper price than a dumb iphone.

Nokia care has updated my phone more than once.

Nokia 701 is one of the most stylish phones. The design is classic and it feels so nice every time you hold it. I've got Nokia 701 (Silver) as well as Xperia Ray (Black), and I'm really enjoying both the phones, their design and their operating systems (Android & Symbian). Xperia Ray and Nokia 701 are the best phones in their price range.

Is it the right time to buy this phone ??
because I like this phone a lot and is my first choice but the only thing that's missing is android.
also I find many people saying that symbian has lack of Hd games , I know that!!
But still this fone fulfills all the specs which I need!!
No other android out there does have all of these specs
there are atleast one or the other problems
especially I dont like samsung, htc phones are just waste for money, sony has many battery problems(seen xperia sola which has a non - removable battery, xperia u, p ,s dont hve memory card slots)
anxiously waiting for someone's reply!!

But there ars some limitations in lm800'
like connet allways with zune,,no bluetooth file sharing...limited video codec support,,normal amoled screen,,,and it will not get wp8 update...beside nokia 701 is very good....like ips display..3.0 faster bluetooth..rich codec support.,,dolby digital in sound and video.,,after update to fp1,,,
true hd gaming that cant play on lm800'.better battry backup,,

It will void warranty, but nokia care people can not find, I was flashed many times before sending to CC for over heating problem. Problem is solved now. Because they also follow same flashing procedure.
