safin asa, 04 May 2023Why it matter? Well, I think the user was pointing that out because the specs here say it *did* have a 2.5mm jack. (I have no idea if that's right or wrong, but if it's wrong then the site's data is inaccurate.)

Anonymous, 07 Dec 2023Design was one of its kind back in those days, now look at ... moreI don't disagree, but I'm also reminded of a "demotivational poster" I've seen going around the net for years now: A photo of a set of forks, one mangled beyond any possibility of ever again being used to eat a meal. "Unique: Just because you're different, doesn't mean you're useful"
Nokia went through this crazy experimental phase with their phone designs in ~2003-2004, and what they produced were a lot of BAD phones. However interesting or creative the design may appear, in the end a phone is still a TOOL, and phones like these were such "creative" departures from the fundamentals of what "being a phone" entails as to be almost unusable as one. The number pad on this mess was INSANE. To the point it more than interfered with your ability to just dial numbers on it, and this was back in a time when people still did that a LOT on their phones.
The procession of "one of a kind", NOT-phone phone designs churned out by the leading company in the market was a baffling move, and it ended up costing them not only that dominant position, but very nearly the entire business.

Design was one of its kind back in those days, now look at all the boring slabs we have, except some foldables of course.

120, 13 May 2023Why is this device gaining popularity all of a sudden? Probably remake is in the pipeline from Nokia / HMD. Hopefully with KaiOS and good camera.

120, 13 May 2023Why is this device gaining popularity all of a sudden? Maybe because of its unique, leaf shaped phone, while most of phone today's are just a bar with a 6" screen and some camera. I also heard that many people in Indonesia and Brunei are waiting for a Nokia 7610 5G, even tough it's just a concept by someone who dislikes iPhone, many people get fooled and want to pre-order because it's has 6.5 screen and snapdragon 8 gen 1 and other flagship specs. This is why schools matter and also why many people sad when nokia no longer make a flagship.
